The User interface for the dash cam is really shoddy. It makes a fairly loud and tacky startup/shutdown sound (jingle?). The camera quality is pretty bad, I highly doubt it's actual 1080p. Might be upscaling from a lower resolution. The camera itself is actually situated on the RIGHT side of the mirror. So if you're looking at the reflective side of the mirror, it would be on the right hand side. This in itself wouldn't be much of an issue, except for the fact that most people turn the mirror to face more towards the driver, which turns the camera that's on the mirror. I noticed that it was virtually impossible to get anything on the left hand side of the windshield. It can get front and the right side, left being almost completely blind. It is far from 170degree viewing angle. The rubber bands did hold it tight, but I imagine after time would wear out and snap. Didn't manage to try the backup camera, but honestly it didn't look promising, just like the front camera.

Battery is unable to hold the charge. Electronic voltage regulator is definetely a low quality item, therefore electrical noise can be seen in the screen. Buttons do not work, therefore important settings can't be modified such as date, hour, etc.

The Mirror is blue!! On the picture it looks like a regular mirror in reality it is dark blue, like a back of a CD. Can't see anything out of it!! Especially at night!! Pictures of the product are false advertising!!

Works great, great picture and sound. One downer, every bump i hit the camera beeps and says "screen locked to much" or somthing like that. Still captures everything needed and wanted

Update** The camera doesn't record much even when I have the camera plug in, and the memory card it. It records for about 10 seconds, then ends. Then it records another 10 seconds then ends. When I drive it saves several small clips (10 seconds each) but not one long video. How can I fix this??

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  **Update** After a few weeks of using this camera (which I love!) the rubber straps that hold the camera to your existing mirror have snapped. Unfortunately, this is the weak link in the product. It is an easy work around to add your own straps but it is an annoyance that the camera doesn't come with nicer straps.This is a really cool dash cam that has a decent picture. I like how it straps to your existing mirror. I have owned other dash cameras that suction to your windshield but every time the weather changed it would fall off. Also, my other dash cam will die in the heat of our Arizona summers where it can reach 140 degrees inside. This one has held up great.This Dash cam comes with two cameras, One HD camera on the mirror its self and then a low resolution camera meant for near your license plate. I didn't want to go through the hassle of running wire to the back of my truck so I mounted the camera inside on the roof pointing out my back window (see video for example). In my opinion this set up works even better because the rear camera doesn't have a very wide angle.I wish there were a little more adjustment options as far as positioning the camera. When the camera is pointed straight ahead the mirror is at an angle that I can't see straight behind which could cause some safety issues if not careful. This will be different for everyone given the differences in where you sit compared to the height and angle of your mirror.It comes with a 32gb card that will simultaneously record from both cameras. I get just under 3 hours of footage before it fills up. I have it set to record in 3min increments and delete the oldest files automatically when full. You can easily press a button and lock the file or set 'bump' detection to lock a file in case of an accident.My main and major gripe with this product is that the instructions are not very clear at all. The instructions for mounting/wiring the rear camera don't even exist.Overall I could easily recommend this dash cam to anyone looking to protect themselves while driving.I received a complimentary product in return for thoroughly testing it in real life conditions and my honest opinion.
