Just like Daddy uses!
This rake is a perfect child-sized replica of the real thing. My granddaughter loves to work in the garden alongside the adults; this is sturdy and sized for probably age 4 and up. My granddaughter is 4 and it's a little long for her, but it will grow with her for sure. I actually used it myself to get around my daylilies and it worked beautifully!

Perfect Adult Rack for Artificial Turf
I was looking for a good rake for my newly installed artificial turf / grass in both my front and back yard. This "kid rake" (which is good for adults too) is actually as good as the the "Turf rakes" (that cost $30 to $40). I got this idea from the landscaper who installed my turf.

I thought it was a real rake lol
I needed a rake for myself and ordered this one quickly. (First time I purchased something without reading reviews). I thought it was a real rake based on the title (they should really put childrens rake or toy in the title). I can't give it a negative review because it was buyer error. Good quality for a kids rake. It took me 8 days and 14 hours to rake my backyard with this lol

Inexpensive, not cheap - get kids into gardening early!
I bought this because it was the cheapest rake on Amazon, because I couldn’t find my rake and really needed one. I figured it would show up eventually (it did) so I didn’t really want to spend a lot; although this is advertised as a kid’s rake, I’m short (5’4”) and I have used a kid’s shovel quite effectively for digging up the roots of weeds in my lawn (it’s bigger than a spade so I get the whole root system with one shove into the ground, but it’s narrower than most shovels so I don’t get a bunch of lawn with the weed and I don’t have to bend over or kneel to use a spade). So I figured the shorter handle length wouldn’t be a problem with this rake.Well, I might like it if the handle was another 3 inches or so, but I manage to make it work, and I don’t have a lot of *excess* handle to deal with like I do with a regular rake. I’m developing a collection of petite-sized garden tools. The span is not terribly wide, about like a regular shrubbery rake, so it took a little longer to get everything up, but not much, and the teeth are good at grabbing things, even grass cuttings (which is what I needed it for — after a Washington winter, the first lawn trimming must be done with a weed whacker because it grows so tall in all that rain, you can’t get a lawnmower into the thicket, so you have to gather the clippings by hand instead of catching them in a bag).It is held to the pole with staples, not a set screw, but I’ve had set screws slip on a rake head before, and these staples do a fine job holding it in place. I figure if they wear out I can just put a wood screw through it. If the plastic head breaks — it shouldn’t if I don’t let it get sun-weathered and treat it decently, it’s pretty sturdy plastic — I can always buy another rake head and set it on the pole.Plus, now that I found my full-size rake, I’m all ready to have a niece or nephew help out in the garden (I really do need to get a full-sized shovel, though, at least for turning the compost pile).
