works well, cheaply made though
It works well for what it is. As for durability... I think if you sneezed hard it might shatter... I'm a network engineer at a university and occasionally have to test analog fire alarms, fax, elevator or other emergency lines. I have this set super protected inside a storage case in my tool kit. For my limited use, (Once a week?) it beats carrying around a 1980s giant butt set. When it breaks, I will likely get another as it is cheap and small.

Good at what it does.
This a very simple but wonderful tool. For a rural Sys Admin, there are locations I end up at where a fax line is down. This has cut diagnostics time down to mere seconds. It's compact and portable, comes with a few adapters, and does exactly what you would expect it to do.The only con:- When you first pull it from the box it has a strong smell of toxic plastic. After a few days the smell fades.

Inexpensive, effective and convenient for occasional use.
This is great for the occasional testing the phone lines of our alarm systems and elevators. It is pretty easy to use. The price is great. It's not built like a tank but I never worry about it and it's easy to keep in its box and throw in a bag.

Great bang for your $
The value is insane on this headset. Just tested & it works great. You get the handset, two cables & adapter. All for $11+ shipped.I see people complaining about quality. Come on!Even if it serves you couple times, it pays for itself.Way more than I expected for $11

Does it's job, feels fragile though.
I have only used it twice so far to test for dial tone when a customer getting internet and phone didn't have a home phone available. So far it works, but it feels like it will break easily so I refuse to leave it in the back of my van with my other tools and keep it up front. Cheap cost so if it does break I won't really freak out.

Great for homeowner DYI projects, probably not suited for frequent use.
Due to the age of our subdivision, and the original buried phone cables, we have semi annual problems with our hard wired phone line. To confirm which side of the house connection was the problem, I unhooked the phone lines coming into my house and connected this handset directly to their wires which showed the problem was on their side of the connection. For less than $20 this is a handy DYI tool that doesn't take up much space. It is lightweight but doesn't appear like it would hold up to heavy usage so I wouldn't recommend it to someone doing frequent testing/repairs.

It works!
Does exactly as it's intended to do. When you have the need for an occasional line check this is by far the best option

Worked 3 times then died
Needed an affordable option for the sporadic phone work that I do. Got to a job today and it wouldn't work. Pay more and get a better product. I've only used this on 3 jobs and it crapped out between the third and fourth jobs.
