FoodSaver V3230 Vacuume sealler, 18.75 x 9.25 x 11.25 in, Black

It really sucks - lol. Seriously, it does an fantastic job. The biggest issue I have is the 20 second cooling time between bags to ensure best performance. I have done 2,000 lbs of meat and 500 lbs of veg and many other items and it does great every time.

Should have gotten a Foodsaver years ago. It is easy to use. I like to leave it on my counter so its always ready to use. I now can take advantage of sales at our supermarket. I also am stocking my freezer with fresh peaches, strawberries and blueberries to have for the winter months.

Features very different from the last couple I owned. I hope it last longer as seems they don't last nearly as long as the cost is expensive.

I've had several Foodsavers over the years, but this model is the one I think is best for my usage. I bought this one for my daughter. The bag cutter on this model is very handy, but the vacuum power is why I like this model so much.

I owned this for just a few months now, and so far it has performed as expected. I bought it as a replacement for an older FoodSaver model which was a lot smaller and easier to store. The advantage of this one is that it stores a roll inside, and it has the cutting blade. It beats using my guillotine paper-trimmer, or scissors.I took out two stars because I don't expect it to last very long. The previous model failed due to the vacuum pump made of plastic, a classic case of planned obsolescence.

Great product if you use FOODSAVER BAGS ONLY....... if you use an off brand it won't seal their bag.

Mine didn't work on arrival. Haven't decided if I'll order another of the same.

I've sealed many items without any issues. I've had a couple of problems but I've chalked this up to human error.Now... my only issue with vacuum sealing is not specific to this machine. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! Whether or not you listen to the instructions is irrelevant but there is a lot of information in there about vacuum sealing food. It has instructions for sealing various meats. For example... when sealing raw meats you are supposed to prefreeze them for a couple of hours. This maintains the juices in the meat and keeps the shape. There are certain vegetable that off-gas and are not supposed to be in a vacuum seal. Berries are supposed to be spread on a sheet and frozen, to avoid them freezing together and getting crushed, prior to sealing.Now... I've sealed chicken in a sauce on the gentle moist setting knowing I'm throwing it my sous vide cooker immediately. Why would I freeze it knowing I'm cooking it right away? So I take these directions with a grain of salt but I know them.The best advice I can give is to not be stingy with these bags! If you try to be cheap you may waste a bag and will end up using more in the long term. If you give enough excess plastic for the bag you can reuse it. Cut off the sealed part and reseal another item in there!This is a great product for any reason you'll need to seal anything! I haven't used it for anything other than food and I have only used it for bags. I will update my review when I get to the hard containers I want to buy for refrigerated food!

Bought this to replace an older model Foodsaver that died after many years of faithful service. I had to give away a couple boxes of Seal a Meal rolls because they did not work in the new unit. Best I could figure out is that the plastic has a different melting temperature. New V3230 worked great for a couple months (I am a moderate user as I have a large garden) but then it just upped and died. DIdn't vacuum, didn't seal bags from a roll. Foodsaver customer service (based in Florida so note any time zone issues) was very helpful but it took several calls to get the matter dealt with as apparently they were having problems with their computer system. Warranty was still valid. They agreed to send a new replacement as soon as I shipped the old unit to them. There were no authorized service centers within reasonable driving distance of my home. Cost me about $30 for shipping to Ontario. Took another 3 weeks or so for them to ship the new identical unit to me and another week for it to arrive (I live in BC). The built in roll dispenser is very handy as I don't use pre-made bags (too expensive). The rolls are better quality than Seal a Meal but quite a bit more expensive. Tip: for better success at sealing anything with any amount of moisture content, pre-freeze your item, at least to the point of becoming fairly solid. E.G berries or blanched veggies sealed fresh will turn to mush and your bag may not even seal due to water content. Also, keep the foam gaskets clean as for me this is the main reason for failed sealing. As they get older, it helps to moisten them with a damp paper towel before sealing. Overall, can't live without a vacuum sealer and this one is a solid unit at a good price.

Absolutely LOVE IT!!! I’ve been so reluctant to buy one because I wasn’t sure I would get enough use however this was a GREAT BUY and the timing could not have been better!! I bought a bunch of meat produce etc and was able to utilize this immediately during a time of crisis! Phew!! So glad I got this and the price was awesome! Quality is great and really simple to use!! Love it!!

This is the best vacuum sealer we've ever used. The ONLY "con" is that it's quite noisy, but the effectiveness more than makes it worthwhile. It removes pretty much 100% of the air and seals very securely. If you're going to buy this, definitely get the foodsaver bags and not a third party product, they're super heavy duty. I doubt we'll ever see freezer burn again.EDITWe've had this machine for a while now, and LOVE it. It has paid for itself over and over, and there have not been any issues at all.

works well. took a bit to figure out how to use it. The only issue is the door locking mechanism seams to be cheep and most like will be the thing to break.
