Excellent ethnography of plateau tribes!
Eugene Hunn is one of the foremost ethnographers in the state. I'm a federally-employed archaeologist and have cited this book for my master's thesis and have cited it in reports. It's an excellent resource for understanding the mid-Columbia Plateau cultures.

Hunn and his Ethnobiology Expertise
A fantastic overview into the ethnobiology of the Columbia Plateau featuring its Indigenous peoples and they ways they went about navigating their environment. I highly recommend it for anthropology as well as other students seeking to understand the lifeways of Indigenous people worldwide.
