Black Market Music finds Molko in such moody lust that his strangled, androgynous wailing rivals anything the band has previously flashed to the world. Whether it's the dripping, slithery punk circle of songs like 'Black Eyed' or the choir-boy enthusiasm of others like 'Special K' (strangely echoing Midnight Oil's 'Warakurna'), Placebo seem to have finally found that sweet wet spot between beauty and perversion.

Great album, horrible vinyl pressing.
Great album, but horrible vinyl pressing. Stick with a digital copy of this album, this pressing is missing all the heft of the mix, leaving a pretty thin, shrill, and especially garbled on the inner tracks.

Perfect lyric for a unperfect day. Fresh air
perfect. The music was not to slow or to old. Like they did not have a direction and everything was everywhere. They are so amazing. They always sound like their own band. It is never someone else knock off city. The lyrics are always poetic and smart but it is still a song. It is not some random paragraph that lingers into nothing. They are artsy and I love them. They are amazing all around.

Pack records correctly
I love Placebo. One of my favorite bands.The record didn’t come in a box instead it came with the Amazon bag. Also the sleeve has something in the corner. I’m not happy about that.

Hasn't left my 5-disk changer since I got it.
Yes, Black Market Music is that good. Special K (drug reference), Spite & Malice (NOT rap-metal, great chorus), Slave To The Wage (awesome video), and Hemoglobin are all stellar. There's a lot of other keepers, too, which usually forces me to listen to the entire album. Three good CD's in a row, can't ask for anything more.

This album is great and on Vinyl gives you a full feel of everything the music has to offer.

AWESOME ALBUM
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ALBUM. RAW AND POETIC LYRICS THAT TELL OF DARK TALES. BRIAN IS A GENIOUS SONG WRITER TO SAY THE LEAST. LOVE HIM.

Am slowly building by collection up again after watching the Ex husband smash my music to smithereens!!!!
