Kan Herbs Antiphlogistic Formula 1 Oz

Received it years ago from my acupuncture lady, tastes like dirt, but does the job. Finally found it on line and ordered to have on hand for the stomach ache problems.

I started it at the first sign of a cold, and I didn't catch it. This happened twice. The 3rd time, I caught the cold anyway, but it never progressed to a sinus infection like they usually do.

We call it the bitter medicine now, and our daughters actually request it whenever they're feeling like they're coming down with something (sore throat, cold, etc). They didn't like it at first and resisted, and they still don't like it exactly but understand it works. My husband and I also take it if we're feeling on the edge of some illness. If we remember to take it seems like it's always worked! We dilute it in warm water with honey, a squeeze of lime and salt to counteract the super strong bitterness. Originally it was recommended by my acupuncturist when I told her about my daughter's strep that resisted all 3 antibiotics the doc had her take.

I was sick for weeks with a tonsil infection that didn't respond to four different antibiotics. Even after I went to the emergency room and was given intravenous antibiotics, immediately after I was discharged the infection started to get worse again. It wasn't until my acupuncturist gave me this antiphlogistic formula that I started to actually get better, which was almost two weeks after I first became ill. I cannot prove that this is what allowed me to recover from my infection since I was also using western medicine, acupuncture, and probiotics but the timing of my recovery makes me strongly suspect that this formula was the tipping point that helped put my body back on the right track.A word of caution though — this will be the worst-tasting thing you ever experience. DO NOT just shoot a dropperful directly onto your tongue. Have a strongly flavored chaser handy. It is powerfully bitter and may make you gag.

I always keep this remedy on hand. I was first prescribed it by a licensed acupuncturist about 15 years ago, as I tend to have some challenges with my throat swelling (as part of my body's overall issues from the Chinese medical perspective). It is strong and effective. Kan herbs have a long history of being high quality. It used to be that one could only get this by prescription from a licensed natural medicine professional. As a lay person, I would suggest consulting with a medical professional (acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist) before using. What is helpful to one person may be harmful to another.
