MUHWA Hemocytometer Neubauer Improved Blood Counting Chamber Cell Counting Chamber with Bright Line with 2 pcs Coverslips

I bought this for yeast cell counting in beer brewing and the grid lines are very clear to see under the microscope for this purpose.

At 100X, counting areas are nicely ruled with no prominent nicks or scratches. The cover glasses were pretty dirty, but they cleaned up well. Can’t vouch for the absolute accuracy, but the workmanship is pretty good. Only minor downside is lack of “V” filling ports, but that’s not a real handicap: you can work around it with a fine tip plastic pipet.

I saw in the introduction that it was used in restaurants, but when the health bureau came to inspect it, they said it was not true!

My husband is the scientist in the family and he says this is an excellent cell counting chamber slide that comes with 2 special slide covers. To demonstrate, he used yeast cells (weak mixture) and shows how you can see the cells under the microscope and easily count them.

The ones I received didn't have silver background behind the grid. I think it's defective. It's nearly impossible to find the location of the grid under a microscope when there is water on it. I don't recommend.

This must be a new design that has the metal coating as background, but I found it is difficult to observe the cells even the coating is supposed to be transparent.
