I have an Illy IPERESPRESSO single-cup coffee maker which I bought about 2 years ago. I have used nearly every type of Illy coffee on the market and they are all delicious. I have several other brands of coffee (dry roasted beans) which have been given to me as gifts. To keep from wasting these other brands, I bought 3 CAPSULONE Stainless Steel Reusable capsule pods fit for my Illy coffee maker, X Y type refillable coffee filter: 1 in use, 1 cooling off and ready to clean, one clean and ready to fill. I use regular dark roast coffee beans, grind them to the finest degree possible, and every cup comes out absolutely superb--smooth and full of flavor without the harshness some others provide. Also, the coffee was so superb, I have actually made 2 cups of coffee off of 1 pod without changing the coffee grounds. These little guys are well worth the money.

This is the third capsule that I tried out for my illy y3. Tried a other stainless steel one that had the filter sort of screwed to the bottom and this other set of brown capsules. The first stainless didn't work as expected. Had to try and pack the coffee right every time and either coffeetadted burned or too watery. The brown capsules work but I wasn't getting the crema at the end of the brew. This one works hands down the best way. Coffee in, press down a bit and ready. Every cup turns out the way you can see in the picture. One word of advice. Since it is stainless capsule is pretty hot right after the brewing stops (i have to stop it manually otherwise machine brews too long). So if you want to make two cups in a row you might have to wait a bit .
