First of all the bottle I received is not the one shown with a nice Paisley motif - there seem to be several and I received the version of the bottle and packaging with a stylish minimal design (see photo). No matter - it was cellophane wrapped, smells strong and looks genuine with copper glass and lovely bevelled copper lid.Ordered for an aftershave more than cologne, and it was a blind buy + I’m no expert. I wanted something sharp and peppery but a bit more luxurious than my everyday cheapies. This is lovely to slap on your face after shaving - very very citrusy with lime, lemon and bergamot, but a dark musky note that stops it being feminine. A review I watched said it had a top note of grapefruit- definitely the case. It dries down to a woody scent and for a while there is a sea scent of juniper. When I first bought it I wasn’t sure but this seems standard for me - I don’t like cologne when I first get it but soon start to really like it. If you spray on clothes and wrists etc it will last a good 4-6 hours and is quite potent. I find doing this a bit overpowering and the sea/wood scents come through a lot more. On the face after a shave with one blast it lasts about 2-3 hours (may last longer but your nose gets used to it) and the wood/sea tones don’t become so noticeable which I prefer. Overall using this cologne makes one feel expensive and sophisticated - way above £10 scents. It can be used any time to smell great but guess it would really work well on a summer night out dressed up in a suit and open neck shirt - which is probably what it is marketed for. Very happy.

Received this as a Christmas present years ago and was just used for daily (not special occasions), started to get quite a few comments from colleagues and friends asking what fragrance it was, where can I get it, it got more attention that when I’d previously wore any other fragrance, so as soon as I’d bolted through that bottle, I had to buy another.Sweet light scent, I’m not good at describing the exact notes and tones but it’s been well complimented and that’s enough for me to repurchase on multiple occasions

Smells amazing

Nice fresh scent, citrus & pepper on the high-notes dropping to sandalwood, leather, and raw tobacco on the low-notes. It doesn't last long on a day's wear, but good for an evening out.
