Works great
I received my radio/flashlight today. I was really worried because it wasn't powering on after charging it and installing batteries. I ended up removing the lithium battery and just putting it back in. Now it works just fine. The lithium battery probably just shifted during shipment.

Good Emergency Radio.
I needed some type of information source during the next electrical outtage. This is what I need. The solar portion of the radio is of not much value & I wish the antenna was longer. Overall I like the radio. It's one of the best, I believe, for the price.

Perfect Ace in the Hole for that Unexpected Emergency Time
This radio was just the perfect item I was looking for after we had a multi-day power outage earlier this year! Even better, it lived up to all the claims and functions in the ad. It is a "Swiss Army" of needed emergency functions at a very, very reasonable price. The tuner works well on all bands. The weather alert band works well and triggers the red LED to catch your attention. The flashlight has a bright and dim function and the reading/area illumination works well, too!My wife and I just got back from a 1400 mile trip to visit our daughter. I took this along in the van, and tested the radio at 5 different locations along the way, and the radio was able to pull up the emergency weather broadcasting and AM stations at all locations.I highly recommend this item! Tuck it away for a rainy day or in the the trunk of your car and you'll be glad you did!Mike & Kathy F.

CAPABILITY TO PULL IN DISTANT STATIONS NON EXISTANT - WEAK & USLESS
You're gonna be shocked. This thing is TINY! About a box of Mac & Cheese TINY. Works about as well too. We're approximately half way between Pittsburgh & Cleveland. Mrs is a loyal Indians Fan. Radio won't even pull in WTAM out of Cleveland. Our 30yr old, under kitchen counter mounted AM/FM CD, yellowed & cracked beat to junk Panasonic still pulls in Chicago! This thing ... 1. Don't use while AC plugged in. All you get is static.(House wiring grounded & fine. Purchased over-air TV antenna with AC amp. Picture crystal clear with 40+ stations rec'd) 2. Lousy, poor radio reception. 3. Tiny, lousy antenna. 4. Adapter not included. Purchased a universal one separate, with every plug imaginable EXCEPT the one needed. AC charge by micro USB only. Misleading that Micro USB used only to charge cell phones but does AC if your outlet has a USB port. (I admit, maybe I misread). Radio was boxed only with a carabine clip to attach to a backpack strap, & a thin, short, cheap measly micro USB cord. Doubt strongly it would've lasted a few uses. Glad I also purchased a pair of longer, high quality cables as well. 3 stars were given only due to all else being as described. Solar cell, Hand Crank, 3 AAA battery powered (ALSO NOT INCLUDED), bright flashlight, S.O.S. Digital tuning. two phase reading light. Yeah, ... WE HAVE A NICE. LITTLE, LIGHTED DOORSTOP! All I wanted out of this was something for my wife to conveniently listen to baseball games. My Advice To You ... If you're going to stake your life on something like this out in the wilderness,... Spend the extra bucks and get a C-Crane! UPDATE! CHEAPLY MADE, P.O.S. QUIT WORKING ALLTOGETHER 11/06. WILL NOT POWER UP OR CHARGE. CRANK, FRESH BATTERIES, SOLAR, ANYTHING. RETURN WINDOW CLOSED 10/27 SO WE REALLY DO HAVE A NON FUNCTIONING JUNK DOORSTOP! STAY AWAY! GARBAGE! UPDATE #2 - In fairness to the Seller, they read my review, apologized, and sent a second radio at no charge to us. While this second unit functions, the quality of reception and reliability remains questionable, at best. However, ... Sincere thanks, and kudos given to a stellar Customer Service Dept.

Great emergency radio, especially for the price
This is a great little emergency radio. It runs quite a while on the hand crank. It has a ton of bells and whistles and they are all surprisingly decent. Really loud siren and great flashlights. The radio isn’t super high sound quality but we used it for camping and it was GREAT. I would definitely recommend this for campers or part of an emergency kit. We’re super happy with it.

Li-ion Battery Failed
I used this to listen to FM radio for about an hour a day, on the Lithium Battery. At first it would run for 5 hours before needing to be recharged. After 2 months, I believe the battery has now failed. It runs down overnight, with the radio off. It shows fully recharged after 4 hours plugged in, then, when unplugged, immediately shows partially discharged, and goes to zero in a few hours. Not having the rechargeable battery working makes the little solar panel and hand crank useless. I guess I can still use it on alkaline batteries if the power goes out, but it's not really much use anymore as an emergency radio. Sound quality is about the same as that first little radio I had as a kid, when transistor radios were new.

Great supplier support.
I received my new Emergency Radio and after trying cranking, new batteries, solar, and USB charge, repeatedly it appeared to be defective, and I'd thrown out the shipping box and material. I emailed the supplier and received a response within 26 minutes, offering a refund or replacement. And a followup email a few minutes later with a suggestion from their engineer (still didn't work) and a request for my Amazon order number. Next email stated that they had shipped another and it was received in 2 days. And it worked as described...... Great Service!

Rechargable Battery Replacement
The rechargable battery is dead. How can I find a replacement? I don't find the battery number or size.

Good little radio.
The media could not be loaded. I like the size and the capability of the radio is pretty good the sound quality is very good considering it's super small, but it also is very convenient. It's not too bulky to carry and it is charging up I don't have any triple a batteries in it at the moment and it works perfectly fine off the internal rechargeable battery also the LED screen you can adjust the brightness and so forth and the volume and so forth is very easy to manipulate the one thing I would say that is difficult it doesn't tell you in the instructions how to set the time and so forth but you'll have to figure it out it's a series of pressing and holding down the band button or the the backlight button and so forth but it does it well and it works really good the quality I would say could be better but for the price I think you couldn't get a better radio 4 to 5 stars for me. That's why I gave it four out of five stars because the instructions clearly don't tell you how to set the time and so forth on the device otherwise it's a good buy.

Terrible battery! Buy another brand!!!
I bought this radio back in May to replace my old crank radio that stopped working. The radio worked well for the first week or so. Loaned it to family who were without power for a week in Ottawa following the big wind storm. But the radio does not keep a charge in storage. Several times now, I charged it and put it away in my emergency kit only to find the battery is DEAD the next time I checked. Just tried again. I fully charged it on Saturday morning. Light turned green to indicate full charge. Immediately after unplugging, I check and the internal battery is down one bar. I kept the power off, only checking once or twice a day to see how quickly it’s draining. By Tuesday night, the battery is DEAD AGAIN. That’s less than 4 days of charge. LESS THAN 80 HOURS WHEN TURNED OFF. RIDICULOUS, ESPECIALLY FOR AN ITEM BOUGHT FOR AN EMERGENCY KIT. Save your money and buy another brand. What’s worse, I bought two more as gifts for family before I realized how terrible this radio is. $150 wasted.

Great emergency radio.
Seems like a great backup radio. It has decent sound, reception is ok, the shortwave stuff will come in much better with a longer antenna. All the features work as advertised. The biggest con with this radio is the tuning. Direct frequency entry is much faster than just scanning through the bands, but keep in mind it's not a high-end unit.

Very good and useful.
I recently purchased this radio and have been using it primarily as a radio, but I can see great potential for its use in a survival situation or while camping. The flashlight and reading light are extremely bright and come in handy during power outages or when reading at night. The radio's portability is excellent, making it easy to take with you on the go. However, personally, I don't like where the SOS button is located. It's situated next to the flashlight button, and I have accidentally pressed it on a few occasions at night. When the button is pressed, the flashlight flashes red, and a very loud siren plays from the speaker until the button is pressed again. This can be quite alarming, especially if you're not expecting it. Despite this issue, I believe that the radio is a great investment for anyone looking for a portable, versatile device that can serve as both a radio and a light source. However, I would recommend being mindful of the SOS button's location and taking care not to press it accidentally. Additionally, I believe that this radio would be a great product to have on hand in case of emergencies. It's a good idea to keep it in the closet, for instance, in case of power outages or internet disruptions when you need to stay updated on the news. The hand crank feature is simple to use and makes it easy to keep the radio charged even in situations where there's no access to electricity. Overall, I highly recommend this radio for its versatility, portability, and usefulness in a variety of situations, and anyone in the market for a multi-functional radio.

Works great
I was surprised by how clear the radio sounds. So far the features seem to work, but not sure how well the solar works since I haven’t tested it much. You will need to charge it via cable once in a while - note the internal battery will never charge to 100% full. I believe you need to put in a battery to see it at 100%.
