Q: Is this sealed on the inside. I had to send similar back as stars were coming off from the inside as it wasn't sealed.

No it's not. I bought this one as a present. I have a different one for my use

Q: Can this be used as a lamp ? I’m thinking of getting rid of my bedside lamp in favour of this would this be on or get too hot and explode ?

It can be used as a bedside lamp as it is a nice warm glow that's not too bright and glaring. It doesn't get too hot as I've had mine on for a good few hours and have had no issues with it over heating.

Q: What bulb does this warmer need please?

I believe these devices use a standard G9 halogen bulb with a recommended wattage of 25-35watts.

Q: I have had this for 3 weeks and tried to turn it on today and it won’t come on. Changed the bulb and the bulb immediately “popped” can anyone help?

It would appear that the item is faulty, I haven't had any problems with mine.
