GREAT addition to an ALREADY AWESOME harness!
Both of our dogs wear Ruffwear harnesses. One of our dogs tends to be a bit more 'adventurous' on walks.Maya still has puppy energy and she loves to be outside. She won't hesitate to dart through wooded areas, jump over puddles, launch herself into leaf piles, etc. Given the adventurous nature of her walks, this brush guard is perfect for keeping Maya's underbelly/chest area protected. We are big fans of Ruffwear products and to this day we remain impressed by the high quality of the harnessess. Purchasing this add-on to the harness (which was awesome to begin with) was a no-brainer.It was a sinch to attach the guard to the harness - took all of 5 mins.It fits perfectly and provides even MORE support and control during walks.Maya doesn't seem to have any complaints and she looks comfortable and happy whenever she wears her harness (see photos). As a matter of fact, I believe she likes the harness even more than she did before we added the brush guard. It seems as though she appreciates the added support and protection. This dog goes absolutely bonkers anytime I show her the harness or suggest a walk. She even dips her head for me to slip the harness on and lifts her paw through the leg loop so I can clip her in. (level of cuteness: 10).Not to mention the added support and weight distribution when utilizing the grab handle at the top of the harness to carry our dogs. The grab handle feature is one of the reasons for buying the harness in the first place. It is super helpful and never seems to cause any discomfort when carrying our doggos from the grab handle. In fact, both our dogs seem to enjoy being carried by the handle on the top of the harness.(our other dog, Cosmo, is an OG at 14 years of age. The grab handle is the BEST for carrying him when his legs get tired or doesn't want to get his paws wet when it rains. He will even walk up to us and position himself at our feet, nudging for us to grab the handle and carry him like a briefcase. He's actually starting to become spolied and doesn't feel the need to walk as he would rather be carried - lol). Now, with the brush guard attached to the harness, the added protection and coverage on the underside allows for even weight distribution when utilizing the grab handle. This proved useful on Day 1 and continues to provide value to this day (this is especially handy for scaling massive piles of icey snow, hiking and running in the woods, and picking them up over large puddles or avoiding excess calcium chloride on the sidewalks - which is obv terrible for any doggo's paws)Overall this is a great product. Ruffwear is one of the VERY few brands that I trust enough to purchase from without hesitation. I recommend their products to anyone whenever the opportunity to presents itself. Our neighbors just purchased 2 Ruffwear harnesses for their dogs after seeing the quality of the product. Ruffwear has yet to disappoint. The harness was already a phenomenal product before the brush guard, so the additional support and protection is the icing on the cake.If you're using a harness that isn't a Ruffwear harness, you're doing your doggos a disservice. I highly recommend this harness and the brush guard addition to ANY dog owner. The added comfort for our doggos, as well as the convenience and peace of mind as their owners makes this an easy call - don't hesitate..buy it.

RuffWear is durable.
We have a pup who could get out of harnesses and collars/leashes. She was like Houdini. We got a RuffWear harness for her, and she was no longer able to escape (which was great for us)! The harness also kept her choking herself when she tried to pull on the leash. The "pup" is now 9 yrs old and we still have the same harness for her (we could not find another harness that was made as well as the RuffWear). We did notice that the harness started riding up her side (mostly from it being stretched over the 9 yrs of use), so we got the Brush Guard Chest Protector to help with that issue. We are very happy with the results. I think it provides an overall better fit/function for the harness. I highly recommend this product, and that says a lot!

The harness worked great by itself
I wrote a 5-star review for the Ruffwear harness that this goes with, but its worth noting that the brush guard deserves its own kudos. We bought the harness and the brush guard on the suggestion of the Tripaw website a few weeks before we took our dog in to have her front leg removed due to cancer. She's a 3.5 year old yellow lab who weighs about 70 lbs. The harness worked great by itself, but the brush guard did three important things:1. It created softer edges for the harness straps around the shoulder joint so that nothing was rubbing harshly on the new incision. The incisions were all completely protected from the harness, even after the initial dressing was removed by the vet.2. It spread the distribution of weight when we picked the dog up. For the first few days after her surgery, we had to provide the vast majority of lift for her to go up and down the stairs to the outside grass. The brushguard spread the points of pressure on the dog's chest and belly more than the harness would have by itself, making the entire process easier and safer for everyone involved.3. As the dog recovered, the brush guard the chest and belly areas that had been shaved for the surgery. Without it, she certainly would have gotten scratched up, either by her own itching or by rolling around on the yard. It did a very good job protecting the incision and the surrounding area during the weeks following the surgery. The dog has completely recovered now, but we're still using the harness and brushguard since the dog seems comfortable with it and it provides a barrier to some of the gunk she finds to roll in. (Easier to rinse off the harness and brushguard than the dog.) For anyone facing the prospect of having a tripod, this and the Ruffwear harness should be considered must-have equipment.

Make it 100 bucks and it will still sell
Ive owned my brush guard for well over a year and it still looks new. My Aussie and I go hard, well mostly he does. Ive washed the guard about 100 times. It still holds up and looks great. It ties the bottom of the webmaster together and looks to be way more comfortable than the standard harness bottom.

Good coverage, works as advertised.
I have a 100lb Husky/Pyrenees and ill say that this offers pretty good coverage (i also love the sturdy material), however, i wish it was a little bit longer. It makes the belly (anti-Houdini) strap on the Ruffwear Webmaster Harness sit just short of his stomach, but it serves its purpose of protecting against thorn bushes and the like. Two warnings though - you will need to loosen the harness quite a bit, so if your harness just barley fits it definitly won't with this on. Also, if you have a thick coated dog watch for overheating in the summer as this paired with the Webmaster Harness covers most of their body (like wearing a jacket).

Gives harness a better fit and more support
We bought this brush guard to keep our dogs cleaner, and I found that it made the harnesses fit better. Also my dogs have more support when we help lift them by holding the harness. One of my dogs is an escape artist who got out of all previous harnesses. So far, he has not escaped this harness, and I think that the more snug fit afforded by this brush guard is part of the reason.

Six months of use and going strong
Great idea, my dog likes to go off into brambles but he doesn't have much of a belly coat of hair. It's compatible with his harness. This helps protect the underside and it's comfortable to wear. You'll be please to know it's washable too and doesn't get in the way of his 'equipment' either so scent marking etc isn't affected.Definitely up to the job and robust.

RAVIE

Variabler Brustschutz in guter Qualität
