Muzzy XD Bowfishing Reel

I want to start out by saying i love the reel. The only thing i recommend is cutting off one of the handles. This will make it less likely to accidently click your reel into lock mode before shooting. Other than that i would highly recommend the reel

I recently just switched over from the AMS retriever to the Muzzy. All I can say is wow. My buddies still continue to shoot their AMS setups, but I think they're starting to get quite jealous after seeing this reel shoot and reel two arrows in before they get their second shot off. Don't use the line that this reel comes with, it's junk. Buy the Muzzy Brownell Fast Flight Bowfishing Line, 100-Feet/200-Pound. Nothing compares. Just remember... you still need a reel seat and a fiberglass rod attachment to go along with this reel! Highly recommend this reel. Best of luck fellow bowfishers and stick some carp!

Dangerous!!!!!! Line gets jammed very often. arrow has came back to get me in leg multiply time. Item is a wast of time and money. 0 stars

I own an old 808, new 808 bowfisher and have fished with the bottle feds, gears hold up much better on this reel! Let's string out quick and smooth with the recommended line, and takes it back in quick! Get the muzzy crossbow pole too, even for a regular bow, keeps tension off gears and gives added leverage. Alsoh the pole will keep you from being about to draw without depressing the button.. No more lost arrows:)

Garbage reel!!! I bought 2 of them and they both broke the exact same way after shooting just one fish each.

This reel works well for bowfishing.
