When my cosmetologist sister-in-law recommended this product I was definitely leary. But I was pleasantly surprised and have been using it for 4 years now. My hair is shiny, smooth and super soft, absolutely no "crunch" like with mousse or gel.

I buy all of this product line and is the first that controls my curly halo on the top of my head. Smells nice not overpowered by it. I dont have to wash my hair as often even using the spray refresh and hair oil for my dry hair. Saves your color.

Very moisturizing. Keeps my hair detangle and manageable. Will definitely purchase again.

This hair oil is just as they described with my naturally curly hair. I use it with all the other Matrix shampoo, conditioners and styling products!

This oil is very lightweight, my hair seems to be more manageable when using it. I only put it in the lower 4 inches of my hair and very lightly on the rest of my hair. Even though my hair is dry the oil does seem to build up and tends to look oily on the 3rd 4th day. But I love matrix oils and the way they make my air feel and smell.

My granddaughter advised me to try this & im in love with it. Shines dull hair, gives body, & eliminates fuzz while allowing the curl to stay.

I’ve tried all products except the co-wash. All work excellent at moisturizing, cleaning, holding and defining curls, except the oil. For me, the oil made my curls “fall” and not look so defined as if it loosened them. It might just be because it isn’t as lightweight as my hair needs. I have thick, below the shoulders hair length and I used 4-5 pumps for my entire head. It definitely did break the crunchy cast and helped make my hair look shiny!

Love the shine this product gives after using the cream and gel prior. Scent is minimal

Lightweight yea and not that sticky like other oils.

I bought his product in combination with the the cream and gel. The oil, breaks the cast of the gel, and makes my wavy hair smooth and frizz free. I really like it, but I"m not a fan of the scent. To me, it doesn't smell nice. So it works but it isn't fragrant, like I said, smelly scent. Maybe it is just me. Anyway, I'm going to finish and maybe find something else with a nicer scent.

This Matrix hair oil has totally blown me away. I say this as someone who regularly uses Olaplex No. 7 bonding oil, B&B Hairdresser's Invisible Oil or the Kerastase Elixir Ultime. I enjoy all of those, and rotate through them depending on how I'm feeling at the time. THIS however...this made my straw-like hair feel so silky and smooth, in a way I haven't experienced in a very long time. The scent of this oil is quite light, and I don't notice it much if at all. It's definitely not going to overwhelm you, that's for sure. My hair is a *very* grown out balayage, so dark blonde at the top (past my ears at this point) and about 3-5 inches towards the ends is very light blonde which I tend to either keep fairly cool toned, or use various colour depositing products to give me a pink hue. It's wavy but fine, and often has a mind of it's own. I have not had my hair done professionally (including a cut!!) in over a year now, so my ends are a mess and overall my hair just hasn't felt or looked great in a while. I am well aware that my hair is in need of help, but circumstances have just not allowed for me to adequately address this unfortunately, so I very rarely style my hair anymore. I've never really been one for blow drying, but I mean I don't straighten or curl it with hot tools, I just let it air dry which usually gives me beachy waves. Sometimes they look good, other times it's a hot mess. The first time I tried this I figured I wouldn't notice any discernible difference from my usual leave-in routine, but once my hair was about 90% dry it was clear that my hair loved this product. My hair can sometimes be crazy poufy when air drying, but this left my hair positively sleek, and that is totally amazing based on the current condition of my hair. My waves were much more clearly defined, and this was without make a point of touching them while my hair was drying (sometimes I employ the scrunching technique to boost my waves a bit). I recently grabbed the conditioning mask from this same line, and I am very much looking forward to seeing if that also knocks my socks off like this oil has. Over and above how impressed I have been with this, the value compared to the three oils I mentioned earlier is phenomenal. This costs less than all of them, for in some cases 4 times as much product. That is awesome, and I will absolutely be keeping this in my haircare arsenal.
