Excellent Product
The photo is how it sits and rides in my car and I carry it into homes in 2 parts, vacuum in left hand, dust cup in right hand. I like the weight and manuverability. I love the ease of putting it together. I love the long cord and ease of emptying dust cup and rinsing/drying at end of day. Cons would be the top heaviness, but the style, with the hand-grip in between is nice and balances the weight. I don't mind laying the vacuum down to move small items out of the way. Older people may have trouble with that. You have to be careful if leaning it up against something, as it can fall down if not propped up securely. At end of day I have the dust cup off the top and it rests on the ground, as in picture. It doesn't vacuum SOME bath rugs easily, while it vacuums others fine. Weight of bath rugs seems to be the factor, as I've used it on both short fluff and shag. (Update: it will vac a lightweight bathroom rug if I vacuum in one direction only, lift at the end, bring back and repeat) It's Narrow vacuum head seems like it takes a bit more time to cover large floors, but it saves time equally by moving between chair legs and picking up crumbs closer to edges. Works wonderfully on hardwood, laminate, carpet or linoleum. I haven't tried it on cement floors. I've only had it and used it for a week, but it seems durable and a Very good value for the money. I would purchase again and I would recommend it to others. Overall, none of these are cons for me personally. I love this purchase. I have the very 1st shark vacuum?? Where the dust cup lays flat, horizontal to the floor. You tap your foot on the release and it pops up. And an above ground "hand vac" was sold separately. I have that too. These were/are my Favorite Shark vacuums. Until I got this little wonder. I still prefer the original model but I am fast preferring the Lightweight of this one And the narrow head, which also goes Under more items than my old one because the dust cup is not down on the head. My old shark is now at Least 10 years old... closer to 15...and someone made a comment about maintenance. Absolutely! The motor is still strong on my old one but it started acting up. So while I waited for this new model to arrive, I used each clients vacuum at their house. I was surprised how many people have sharks ๐ -different models. Several people never cleaned their filters Ever! One thought his vacuum was ruined. I took the filter out and his was disintegrating. I showed him how compacted the dirt was. Then, noticed dirt coming back out onto the floor. I opened the flap to his hose and used a chopstick and some other gadgets to pull out in clumps, compacted dirt, cat hair and cardboard from the kitty scratching boards. YES, please clean the vacuum parts at least once a month. It's so easy and your purchase will last Years! I also helped him look up his model and order new filters. This deal of a vacuum is so easy to clean and access the filters. No reason to not keep it clean. Update: I have used this vacuum for a month now. I changed it to 5 stars. I like so many features on this item-the extra LED light at the base of handheld dust cup is Great for using with the wand to see under beds and reach baseboards & so many places. Saves me from down on my knees and up again all day. I need compact, lightweight, Durable and tough vacuums for cleaning several homes a week.

Great vacuum
I am a huge fan of shark vacuums. They are well made, have good suction, and are reasonably priced. This little vacuum is easy to use. It has 2 options for type of flooring cleaned, and is lightweight. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't remain upright when not in use. You have to lean it against something. However I have gotten used to that so it isn't a problem. Some reviews have stated that is too heavy. I haven't found that to be the case. The dust basket is small so it really doesn't feel very too heavy to me. Highly recommend.

Had for 2 months and has worked great!
I bought this vacuum 2 months ago and wanted to wait to write the review till I had used it for a while and could write an honest review. This vacuum has worked really well in our house of 7 people and 1 dog. It has really good suction power and picks up all the dirt and dust I have run it over. It does take a few passes if something is a little bit bigger in size and at times I have had to lift the front end a bit to get the "bigger" item to go into the suction area. I am going to put a Pros and Cons list below with a brief explanation of each one. PROS: * Suction: The suction is very powerful on this vacuum. It seems to pick up most anything. * Lights: I love the lights on this. Very bright and light up the area I am working on. I love that there are even lights on the upper part that detaches. I like that I am also lighting up the area I'm working on when I don't have the bottom roller attached. * Maneuverability: This vacuum way better at maneuvering than any previous vacuum I have owned. I like how it doesn't have a big canister on it that gets in the way if I have to go under things like tables and such. You can practically turn the head on this sideways to get it into small spaces. * Unhooking Crevice tool: This is easily unhooked from the main part of the vacuum, with just the push of a button. * Cord Length: The length of the cord is just right. Not too short or long. I can hook it up to one outlet in a room and be able to vacuum the whole room. * Compact Storage: When you detach the Crevice tool and hook it on the front of the vacuum for storage it is really compact and easy to put in a small space. Stores much better than a canister vacuum. CONS: * Loud: This is a very loud vacuum. It has great suction power. Although because it has so much power and no canister, it does not have a lot of ways to filter the noise. So be prepared to not hear mush of anything until you are done. * Dust Bin Opening: I do not like the style of how this opens. It is on a hinge system which is great for easy opening, but if you don't hold it the right way above your trash can you could be vacuuming twice. * Anti-wrap rotator head: It is supposed to be anti-wrap, but it has still wrapped certain things onto the rotator head while using it. Luckily they have been easily unwrapped, but still wraps up. * Doesnt stand on it's own when fully assembled: It will stand on it's own if you disconnect the crevice tool top and place it on the base, but if I'm vacuuming and need to pick something up that got in the way, I can't just set this upright and grab the item. If you attempt this it will go crashing down. I normally have to prop it against something and in a good angle or it will still fall. Overall I am very happy with this vacuum and am glad I purchased it. It has been great and even the Cons I found about it were not deal breakers. That is why I wanted to write this review so others could get a thorough review of it and help them to make their own decision about it.

Better than expected
For reference, I was using a Hoover bagless that I've had for years, a Deebot robovac that I've also had for years, and a Tineco mop and vac that I've had a few months. I live in a 1900sqft 1-story house with vinyl plank in the living areas and master, tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, and carpet in 2 bedrooms. I also have a thin, light colored 8x10 area rug. Living here are 2 adults, 2 teen/preteens, one of whom is a wheelchair user, and 2 German Shepherds. The Hoover is so heavy and has started spitting out dust despite new filters. I avoid using it because it's so hard to use. Pros: The new Shark had exceeded my expectations in almost every way. I wanted a light weight vac that I wouldn't put off using because it was too heavy and cumbersome. I wanted one that I didn't have to mount anything on the wall to store. I needed something that could deal with the dog hair and tracked in dirt. The Shark does all of those things. It picks up dirt and hair better than the Hoover, and because of the light that I didn't think I needed, I can actually see what's there. I like how it comes apart to store. It's super maneuverable, getting under/into places that have probably never been vacuumed. It seems to pick up things near the wall well (something my Tineco mop fails at). Cons: I didn't realize it not being able to stand on it's own would be a little inconvenient. I was thinking storage only, so didn't really care, but if I'm in the middle of vacuuming a room and need to move something, I have to find a place to prop the Shark. Same with the cord. I would love to have a self-rewinding cord on this thing. To me, the worst part is having to wrap it around the hooks. I also think the dust bin could be a little bigger, although with 2 GSDs, I'm going to empty it pretty much every time anyway. Lastly, there doesn't seem to be anywhere onboard to store the 2 small tools that come with it. They will be lost in no time. Overall, the drawbacks wouldn't keep me from buying again. It's a great little vacuum with good suction and light weight enough that I'll actually use it often. I haven't used it as a hand tool yet, but will.

Nice Vac!
I purchased this product as I'm getting older and wanted to transition away from my old canister vacuum as I would always get tangled up in the hose and was afraid I'd fall. This vacuum fit the bill as it doesn't have any type of hose. I'll list my pros below and some observations. PROS: (1) I was amazed at the suction of this vacuum--it really does have it and cleans well (2) It does not have a hose to get tangle up in (3) It has a cup to empty so there are no bags to buy (4) It has very nice bright lights on the floor attachment and also on the handheld portion (5) The pieces all snap together easily so it's easy to assemble and take apart when needed (6) The power cord is nice and long (7) The handheld piece does a really good job OBERSVATIONS (as I said, these are not deal breakers for me, just things I noticed): (1) The carpet/floor attachment is much small than my old vac--it does a good job buy just covers a smaller area than a larger vacuum (2) If you are transitioning from a canister vac, the handheld part is heavier as the weight is all at the top so it takes a little getting used to (3) Transitioning to a vac with the 360 head also takes a little getting used to (4) There's no clip on the stick for the attachments--although I think you can buy one (5) No cord rewind (I was used to that, but there's no place for it on this one) (6) One reviewer said he had to carry the entire vac to the trash can to empty the dust cup--NOT SO, the dust cup does come out and you only need to carry that to the trash to dispose (7) Since it's top heavy, it does not stand up on its own--you have to lay it down or against something In all, I think this is a really good little vacuum! I don't think it does quite the heavy-duty job that some jobs might require, but don't count it out--it does a really good job between deep cleanings. I'm pleased with my purchase!

No hair coiling on the brush! Yay!
Very impressed. I've always had issues with my vacuum and my hair coiling around the brush - a nightmare with medium to long hair on carpet. I have medium thick carpet in my bedroom. skeptical at first, but all the hair was removed with this mighty vacuum and absolutely NO COILING around the brush! (I did have one string but the removal from the coil was super easy - unlike my traditional Queen Filter brush where i would have had to cut it with a scissors)! The canister is perfect for my condo unit. I only dumped it 2x. Probably would have been a 1 dump if not for my hair from the carpet. It's also not loud and the top pops off easy when you need to use the smaller tools for tight spaces. light weight and super easy to use! It does have stronger suction on the carpet, so you do need a stronger push - you get a nice arm work-out - nothing overly difficult though. still love it.

Good performance, but false advertising of attachments!
Over all, I'm happy with this product's performance but the upholstery brush attachment does NOT come with the vacuum. Positives: This vacuum is very flexible and sucks well even on low pile carpeting. It's easy to empty the dust bin and detach attachments. I got this version because I have a large white dog that sheds once a year (year round!). This vacuum is much better than sweeping, which just brushes the hair into the air. I can easily such up the fur and it doesn't get wrapped around the beater. It also morphs into an okay stairs vacuum on my carpeted stairs. The cord could be slightly longer, but I just need to be less lazy and unplug it a little more often. Cons: One of the main reasons I purchased this model of Shark because of the brush upholstery attachment. The dog gets on the couch and leaves puddle of white fur. The brush looking attachment did not come with the vacuum. I contacted Shark about it and while they agreed, amazon did advertise the attachment, it does not come with the vacuum. They said it was amazon's problem, not theirs (Shark's). Well, now it's my problem. But I decided I like the vacuum enough to keep it.
