It should as wii u is backward compatible with wii games.

Hello, I asked my son, he never encountered that symbol/message/or screen. Joshua, my son saves his info all the time and has never seen that screen. We looked in the BAKUGAN leaflet and didn't find any info either. Try contacting Customer Support at http://www.activision.com/support. They say they will respond within 24-72 hrs.Sorry we couldn't help any further. Good Luck!!
