Magic MakersMoney Paddle - Make Money Appear Out of Thin Air

I watched the video and it is amazing so I buy one, it arrived quickly but it is impossible to manipulate as seen in that same video. I was never able to get this to work as described.So be advised, it’s nearly like watching a video of Olympic Ice Skaters. Your skates arrive from Amazon, you put them on and go out onto the ice and fall flat on your back. THIS PADDLE IS NOT AS EASY TO WORK AS THE VIDEO MAKES IT LOOK.

Before I jump into the review of the item, for those of you looking for your kids, friends, or spouse, here's a breakdown of the trick (not telling the actual reveal). This is something I used to sell at my store, just didn't have this nicer wood version. I'd say this is good for about 8 years old and up. I'd advise about 2 to 3 hours of total practice to get proficient with the actual sleight required to make this work. It is a simple sleight, but you need to practice it to make it seamless otherwise the trick looks like crap.Performance: You show a blank paddle. You add a coin (quarters too big), so in this case we'll show a penny. You say the paddle makes money. Then you show a penny on both sides now, so it just doubled your money. Repeat with a nickel, repeat with a dime. Pull out two pennies, nickels, and dimes to prove the money did in fact double. Next say it makes money all the time, and show that it just makes a dollar bill appear (I like to use a hundred for shock value). Then remove it, then show that the whole trick is done with mirrors. You show mirrors on both sides of the paddle (even though they weren't there at the start). Pro move is to show $100 bill on both sides, and add an additional sleight to add an extra $100, but this is way more complex so I'd avoid mentioning this (magicians will know how to figure that added part out).In short, it's an incredibly strong effect that requires a few hours of solid practice for the sleight, and at least a few performances in front of the mirror to get the patter down for the actual performance.Ok, quality of item. I'd say it's good, but doesn't look as high quality as the photo. That said, it's WAY better than the green plastic version that uses rubber bands that break often. This one comes with a high quality thick rubber that can't really be compared to a normal rubber band. I received a total of 8 bands, and the trick uses 3. They will last a long time (as long as you don't leave in hot car or something), so odds are I won't need a replacement band for ages. If I do, I have 5 extra... The paddle itself is in fact wood, and is nice but not as nice as the photo... The mirror portion is made out of what appears to be glass, not the crap sticker that comes on aforementioned green plastic paddle.In closing, this was easily worth the $12 I paid for it. I bought this to add to my higher end magic gear that I still use for family and gathering type performances. This is a trick that just must be in an amateur magician's toolbox...

After damaging my original, which I was very happy with, I purchased a replacement. Sad to say the new one I received has much worse build quality. Discoloration on parts of it make the move much less deceptive - it may even be worse than the damaged one I was seeking to replace.

Cheap complicated over priced jumk

This an absolute must-have. Perfect for ANY skill level. It's the simplest sleight that produces great results. The "final load" will knock their socks off.

A practical, fun, and entertaining piece of magic .. this is one of those rare pieces that you can carry with you for intimate or impromptu circumstances or you can do it for a fairly large audience
