Rain Bird HE025DPS Drip Irrigation Faucet Adapter, 3/4" Female Hose Thread x 1/4" Drip Hose This adapter features 1/4" female hose thread on one side x 1/4" Drip hose compression fitting on the other side for easy connection of 1/4" Drip tubing to an outer tap or hose. Ideal for small drip irrigation zones, this compression fitting is suitable for Rain Bird and all other brands of 1/4" Drip Pipes. Make sure the included rubber seal is thoroughly tightened to the tap or garden hose to avoid leakage. Made from highly durable UV and chemical resistant materials to assure long life. Use with pressure regulator and automatic hose end timer (both sold separately) for added control. Rain Bird "The Intelligent Use of Water" Review: Works great. I had to add another washer so it wouldn't leak the quick release adapter it is attached to. Heat the end of the RO tubing in boiling water until it is soft and the tube inserts easily. Works great. I had to add another washer so it wouldn't leak the quick release adapter it is attached to. Heat the end of the RO tubing in boiling water until it is soft and the tube inserts easily. No leaks from the tube side if you do this.

Unlike other products I have used, this gives more flow as apposed to barb fitting the uses the "inside" of the tubing thus reducing the flow rate I estimate about 50%. I wish that couplers, tees etc used the same technology. Wouldn't that be great.

This adapter to 1/4 inch tubing worked well with the back pressure and pressure regulator I had bought. It came with a 1/2 tubing adapter. I didn't try it directly to tap
