Ohio gets weird
This book is a lot of fun. The author provides some info that you don’t typically find when looking these stories up online. A quick, light read. Recommended for anyone who has an interest in Ohio’s weirdness.

It Came From Ohio and is Going Global!
This is a very interesting book or erie tales of the Buckeye State! It has clear and colorful writing that holds one interest. The chapters run from about two to eight pages each. There are only token illustrations, but the chapters do fine standing upon the writing alone! The stories within this work can send a chill down a spine, but are not horrifying. I would think that most of these stories would be great recited around a campfire! Along with, "what was that rustling through the tree branches"! Enjoy!

Interesting tales
This book contains some interesting Ohio tall tales, but not a lot of source info is included, and it's rather short. It took me only a little over an hour to read the entire book. Still, it provides some info on unusual happenings so it's not a total loss.

Fun Collection of Ohio Lore
This is a brief collection of Ohio-area mysteries and legends, covering everything from UFO's and contact from space to frog-men, lake monsters, ghosts, and a secret island community for the wealthy. To me, at least, the most interesting sections are those on the Loveland Frog, the ghost at Camp Manatoc, and Melon Heads. My only complaint is that the accounts, while entertaining, are too brief. I would love to know more about many of these events and creatures. But that's what the internet is for, right? If you're interested in regional folklore and urban legends, this is still a great pick.Review originally published on Goodreads.

Short and sweet, straight to the point.
Excellent little read, when I initially received it, I thought whoa this book is way too thin to contain cryptid information but, I was wrong. I definitely recommend this cute little book.

Many new stories...
I've lived in Ohio for 44 years and knew about some of these weird things, but the author mentioned a lot that I had never heard before. This book definitely will open your eyes and, hopefully, you mind to the unknown around us!

Not a bad little book
Not a bad little book. Emphasis is on the word "little" here, as it's quite short and even physically small in the other two dimensions. The subjects covered haven't the room for much detail as a result, but kudos to the author for picking mostly atypical topics -- there's a little Sasquatch and lake monster, but there's also the Loveland Frog and the Melon Heads (not the band), which were new to me. He also goes off the paranormal reservation into things that are merely unusual, like the Wow Signal and Toynbee Tiles, which makes for a nice change of pace. At times the tone wanders into breathlessness but in general it's quite readable. Altogether it'll give you an hour well spent on a day when you're in the mood to put your brain in park.

Thumping good read.
"A thumping good read".... HaHa! I`ve always wanted to use that old cliche when reviewing a book, and for once this is a deserving book. Who cares if these tales are real or not? - they are entertaining! -The tales were interesting and caught my imagination well, I liked the authors "way of telling" too. Its a book you can pick up and put down and read a couple of chapters at a time or as we say in my city -"a bog book".I liked it!
