Ten Days to Optimal Health

Worth the read.
It has a lot of good information that I'm actively utilizing. The only negative is that the author gets just a bit repetitive and also, she pushes raw milk very hard. This may leave you very conflicted given all the scary news out there about drinking it, but more importantly, it's nearly impossible to get unless you live on a farm or near one. She also recommends raw meat which is not happening in my lifetime. I would take desiccated liver that I can stick to the back of my throat and swallow. All in all though, great information about nutrition, enemas, detoxing and essential oil use.

A thoroughly researched nutritional guide!
I bought this book as a nutritional guide, rather than for colon cleansing, but it got me intrigued not only about the colon but all organs that are so often taken for granted. I constantly strive to improve my health and this book reminded me how important it is to consider all parts of our body and how hard they work for us. The author clearly took the time to thoroughly research nutrition and colon cleansing, and once I am ready to do a cleanse, this is the book I will turn to!

Clearly written, easy-to-read manual for Optimal Health
This book provides an alternative approach for those struggling with physical health ailments by offering concrete steps toward healing through nutrition. It's very easy-to-read and to understand. I also like how the author advocates for readers to pay attention to what works for them rather than blindly accepting the advice of others. The author backs up her suggestions with research and data to support it. Definitely recommend this book particularly for those struggling with chronic health conditions that may benefit from a nutritional approach.

Great book!
I choose to give this 5 stars because Kristina talks a lot about gut health.I know that so much health problems start in the gut. If you treat the gut your symptoms will improve. I personally have horrible skin rashes and Polycystic Ovarian Disease, these will get better will helping the gut. I also know that gut health will help so many different things. So give it a try what do you have to loose? Oh, the bad crap in your body! haha

Optimal Health Center
The Center is here in Madison which enabled me to meet with trained personal and have services performed. Kristina's farm is about 30 minutes from where I live and her advice is both interesting and inspiring. I look forward to working more with the program based on the information Kristina shares in her book so that I may enjoy the benefits of better health and vitality. Thanks!Karen

Good health
This book is exstream but has many good areas that should be considered if you want to change your life and improve your health. No one book has all the answers and this is just a part of the story.

A Realistic Detox Program
Finally, a detox book that includes dairy and meats! As the book description points out, the author adheres to the Weston A. Price Foundation's approach to health through traditional foods that primitive populations, untouched by the modern food industry, followed and as result were in perfect health. As a follower of Weston A. Price Foundation myself, I was excited to see a detox book that challenged the modern nutrition "dictocrats" by following the Foundation. This detox plan is easy to follow - most detox plans basically boil down to cutting out the processed, chemical and toxin laden foods in our diet and eating nutrient dense, clean (organic) foods. I have followed the Weston A. Price Foundation's approach for about 3 years now with much success and health. The only thing readers may find difficult is finding raw milk. It is more readily available in the U.S. through health food stores, but not in Canada as it is still illegal (although I found raw cheese at Save-On Foods!). I live in the rural area and have access to pasture fed meat, eggs, etc., but not raw milk. Don't get discouraged if you can't find many of the foods she mentions. Do the best you can with what you can access, for example, either don't eat pasteurized dairy at all or only minimally, and if available, go ahead and choose organic dairy even tho it's still pasteurized. Most grocery stores now carry many organic items - including dairy, fruits, vegetables, olive oil, etc.I am still researching and reading more about the colonic cleansing program described in the book but one can follow the author's eating plan before (or without) doing the colonics if the colonic program intimidates you. The author does a great job of describing different colonic programs and how to do cleanses in the comfort of your own home. In fact, she encourages it if you want to save your money for organic foods. For further information and the "Bible" for traditional foods, purchase Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. And go to the author's website at [...]I highly recommend this book as it is a practical realistic detox program to follow. Many detox books I have read put forth a diet devoid of dairy and meats for long periods of time (eg. 4 to 8 weeks) which I found difficult to stick to. I wholeheartedly agree with this author that our body was designed to run on animal protein. (But if you are vegetarian, she does offer alternatives.)By the way, if you are serious about detoxing and staying healthy, don't go back to your old way of eating after this program. The nice thing about this detox plan is that it is also a realistic eating guide for the rest of your life.

Meglio chiedere al proprio medico...
... che seguire le indicazioni di questo libro. Sono rimasto deluso, mi aspettavo migliori considerazioni dal punto di vista dietologico
