OK for now
Even though it looked perfect when I first put it up, it bubbled after it dried. But it inexpensively gives me privacy until I can come up with a more permanent solution.

Installation works better with more water
This is a great product, but there are not a lot of instructions that come with it. When you first place the item on to your glass make sure you give it a good spray of water. The mistake I made was just lightly misting the surface. The additional water makes it easier to get a bubble free install.

Exactly what I needed
The dimension of the film allows me to have privacy, and at the same time, I can get close to the window and look outside if I need to

Great product.
Works great, looks great, easy to install. While you can use water to affix to window, I highly recommend purchasing the installation kit. Purchased more for some other windows.

Happy with the results
I used this and another brand from Lowes/Home Depot and this stuff is much better quality and went on much easier.

Great privacy screen
I'm very pleased with this product. I live in a garden level unit and one of my windows faces our parking lot - NO privacy. But it made me sad to keep my blinds closed. This worked great - just measured the window (measure twice, cut once!!), cut the film (there are grid marks on the back to make sure you cut straight), flicked some water on the window (I didn't have a spray bottle), and popped this sucker on there. Since its not adhesive, you can move it around a bit to get the fit right - then use a squeegee or credit card or the like to smooth out the air bubbles. I've had mine up for about 2 months and there's no sign of it coming down or peeling off. From the outside, the window looks completely opaque (during the day with lights off inside), but from the inside - lots of diffused sunlight comes in.. and you can see vague outlines of things - just perfect. Very impressed.UPDATE (1.5 yrs later): I have not had to move or reapply this film to the windows. I'm pretty surprised really - I thought it would be higher maintenance. Super recommend. I have since bought more in a pattern to put on some other windows. I would recommend measuring carefully to get a close fit to the window frame - it looks a lot nicer than if you leave a gap.

Great stuff, better than hoped.
Purchased this to put on rear kitchen window. Still wanted to be able to see outside in the summer so the middle window has half covering, allowing us to have blind half up but it still be effective. Was quite amazed at how much light still comes through and how frosted it is at night, with the lights on inside. You can make out the blind slats but anything further than 2 foot away you can’t see. As per the nightbpicture, there are people standing indoors that you can’t see! Brilliant. It’s easy to put up in the sense you just spray water on the window and then it sticks on with static, the more liberal you are with the water the easier you can push it into place. The thing I found the hardest was cutting it to size, I found it difficult to get any kind of neat line, whether cutting off the windo, or using a craft knife to trim whilst on window. The good thing is you can take off and put back multiple times, just respect the water. Once it’s in place use an old credit card to push the water bubbles to the edges. Tried with a squeegee but didn’t work as well. Not a bad price but you can’t get many windows out of one roll if you do the full length, I used a whole roll and only did 3/4 of 2 narrow windows and half of a wider window.

Easy to be creative in privacy static film
The good thing about a blank canvas is that it makes things easy to be creative. I wasn't convinced by the generally available patterns (stripes / waves etc) online and definitely wanted a static cling (so easy to apply and remove after as no messy residues) with some clear see-through areas. The solution, buy, a roll of this stuff. It has a squared backing paper to help with any measurement and pattern plans you may wish to invent and cut-out. I chose to use this "murder-hole" or "key-hole" shape (as doesn't interfere with horizontal line of blinds when they are lowered). But, you could do squares, port-holes, triangles, stars - any geometric shape really and quite easily.

Good for the money but a pain to fit.
This product allows you to make a pane of glass translucent for privacy purposes - great if you're fed up flashing the neighbours. For what it achieves the price is good.I've installed this on 3 panes of glass in my house now and honestly it's a bit of a pain to fit. Grit your teeth and get it done, bearing in mind the following tips:1. Several reviews here seem to suggest you can trim the film to size as you fit it to the window, if necessary. I would not recommend this at all - far too easy to make an untidy cut and spoil your efforts up to that point. Instead, do as the instructions say and cut the film before fitting to at least 2mm less than the dimensions of the glass. It's like a phone screen protector - if the edges touch anything they will peel up. Having a small clear border around the film looks fine (and a lot better than peeling edges).2. Be sure to measure the window pane at its smallest dimensions (it might not be perfectly square) and watch out for any rounding at the internal corners.3. The window must be scrupulously clean before fitting the film - as with a phone screen protector, any particles etc will stop the film adhering properly and lead to bubbles.4. Use a mister to generously wet the window pane with plain water. I tried using a water / soap mixture as another review helpfully suggested and ended up with foam marks underneath the film - rather annoying given the faff involved up to that point.Good luck...

perfect item fast delivery
i purchased this to cover a small window in my hallway. It was really easy to apply i had no issues with putting it up at all. It works wonders and now i have the privacy i wanted without having nets.I cleaned the window first and then used a spray with a very small amount of washing up liquid in it so that i was able to move the film easy into place. I used a credit card to smooth out the small amount of air bubbles that i had, i was pleasantly surprised that there was only a few air bubbles. The film is quite thick and takes awhile to cut to i suggest a sharp blade to trim it down with. ive checked the results this am and there are no air bubbles and it looks great. i like the way its static cling so no worries about it sticking to the window in the wrong position then not being able to move it and a section being ruined.
