Best Bibs I've Owned So Far and still going strong.
I am 5'7" tall/waist 31US, weight 146 lbs. So far, all my cycling shorts and shirts are size Small and fit well. I contacted Sponeed about sizing and they recommended the Asian Large/US Medium. It fits perfectly! I've got 6 or 7 rides in with these bibs now, and they are holding up just fine. No loose threads, and the stiching is top notch. * I hand wash my kit and lay flat to dry on a towel. I think this is important for any longevity of cycling apparel. The "chamios" padding is the best I've ever ridden on and I don't have any pain on my sit bones. I think these bibs are a great bargin, and I recommend getting them.UPDATED: 12/31/17 - I now have ridden over 600 miles with these bibs. They are still very comfortable, and holding up. There are no signs of loose or unraveled sticking, the chamios pad is still as good as day one, and they still fit great. When I first got these, the legs were a bit tight but comfortable. They may have relaxed just a scoche, but till fit snug like they should.I paid double the price for my cycle club’s kit bibs and they are no where near the fit and comfort of these. I’ll be buying for for 2018.Update 3/2018: I now have ridden for 6 months with these bibs and they are still in great shape! No signs of threads coming loose and they still fit good. The seat pad is in great shape and still comfortable. These are really a good bargin.RayK

surprizingly good! Wear and feel has been improved too!
Update after getting yet another one: First one didn't last as long as expected but second one most certainly did! Also the sewing of the pad to the thing was much better than my non-bib Pearl Izumi and was nicer than the PI on my butt! Particularly when getting a bit old. The Sponeed held up better in that regard. Now enjoying my third Sponeed. Original post followes [Great bang for buck. I like these mostly Within 4 months of my first purchase and 1600 miles or so I was able to do a 220 mile one day STP. Butt trouble was the least of my pain. The funny looking chami works rather well. The weight and movement are comfy. Now after a year of near daily riding I can still say these are great. They did loosen just a wee bit but not saggy. Originally the fit is a wee on the tight side so do use US sizing and go up in doubt (i'm 5'2" 150lb and need large). However, sadly the workmanship could be better. Seams are coming loose starting with the top piping. Yet, I am ordering another because I know the feel will be good and the price is right.]

Good value and comfortable
Fit very well (i am 5’8” and 170) and purchased Medium. The leg grippers are slightly loose when you are just standing but cinch up once you start pedaling. They feel more slick on my saddle than my Canari and Sportneer cycling shorts which at first took me a ride to get used to the “sliding” sensation- but now I have actually come to appreciate the minimization of friction. So far i have used them 3 times on short 45 minute rides and they are very comfortable. I hand wash and hang to dry so they appear to be holding shape/size. Would purchase again. Will update review once i have gotten a few months and more lengthy rides in.Update: 7/9/22Been using them along with several other more expensive brands (Pearl Izumi, Rapha) a lot this year as i am training for a double century. I find my Rapha the most comfortable for the long rides (4+ hours) followed by these Sponeeds and then the 2 variants of Pearl Izumi. I fully expected the Raphas to be most comfortable as they cost nearly 3x the price but did not expect these Sponeeds to beat the 2 Pearl Izumis as they did. So, for my double century next weekend, the Raphas are worn day 1 and if i dont dry them enough for day 2, the Sponeeds will be used.Would buy again!

Lots of Pros and one Minor Con (which might be a pro)
I own 3x pairs of Spooned shorts and love them. They're far less expensive than "name brand" shorts and just as good. This is my first pair of bibs--I read some folks find them more comfortable with their higher mid-line and suspenders which help keep them in place. I have to say I *do* find them more comfortable than standard shorts, and really like the fit and feel through the waist and torso. I'm a taller cyclist (6' 2") and got the largest size they sell. Even so, the suspenders are a touch short. That's okay, as I think they'll stretch a bit over time, so better a hair tight to begin with than too loose. The only "negative" about these bibs is that the logo wears off really easily. It just peels free of the material and can be removed with a thumbnail. To me, this isn't a negative because I couldn't care less about having the "Spooned" brand show on my thigh.Overall, like my Spooned shorts, these are high-quality, well-fitting bibs that I wear very often when doing Zwift indoor rides. I'll probably end up buying a few more pairs.

I have mine for 3 years. They are so comfortable! The chamois is an ideal shape and thickness for me. After 3 years the chamois is starting to feel thin. Time to replace. ’ve been rotating them with a different brand. These are my go-to when I reach in the drawer.
