Rothco Heavyweight Canvas Musette Bag, 12" x 12" x 6", Black

This pack has thick rugged cavas as advertised. The price was outstanding. This is my second pack from rothco, differnt design. My first one lasted years of outdoor abuse. Ended up gifting it five years later and is still in service today. The musette design i wanted because the simplistic design. Has a large main compartment that can hold two gallon jugs of milk. The side pocket can fit a typical 16 oz water bottle or soda.It makes a great messenger bag aswell, I found that if you fully extend one backpack strap while fully shortening the other it offsets the buckles in a way that avoid digging your shoulder. For me the biggest deal was simplicity, i got tired of backpacks having padded laptop sleeves that sag and hang up on the items your trying to stuff in. It does have an internal sleeve but its not lowcut, padded, sagging and in the way. Seems small when you see the dimensions listed for this smaller sized bag although it holds alot more then you'd think. Super affordable & high quality rarely go together, but in this case it does! Worth it!

The bag itself is great! The straps however are fully extended and still short. Sits super high on the back because of this. So now I’m altering this straps so i can use it.

Very nicely made item. Note, this is the smaller musette bag, which in many ways is the size of a messenger bag but worn on your back as a backpack (there is no way for this to be a messenger back. Heavy canvas, strong stitching, plus straps that actually hold make this one durable bag. There is a side pocket that will hold a water bottle sized item, a separate compartment that closes with a snap behing the main compartment (but not in it). Inside the main compartment is one divider for that goes from top to bottom to separate out items. That's it...it's a fairly basic/classic design. I really like it. Messenger bags, being worn cross shoulder, tend to be very uncomfortable to me, so this is a big improvement and not as unweildy as my large canvas rucksack. Very handy for taking as a daily bag to/from work. Small enough to easily fit beneath my Vespa's seat, yet big enough to carry what I need each day (and more, really...it's a nice size). I'd give it 5 stars, but the shoulder straps are a little thin and/or need padding - that would make it a little more comfortable. I'll have to buy some add on pads if I want to use this for hiking or anything more strenuous than to/from work.

I love the bag and the size. However, it's not very good quality. One of the buttons (the very back button to clip the back pocket shut) broke off immediately after I unsnapped it. Huge disappointment. The buttons, in my opinion, are absolutely horrible and cheap. The rest of the bag looks nice.

- I bought the brown backpack-Fits laptop and 3 ring binder plus room for more!-has one side pocket-has a large pocket inside and outside of the backpack-side pocket fit my computer mouse, pens, highlighter, and phone charger-lots of space-practical, cute, great for travel!-heavy dutyThe only thing I'd suggest are better and stringer clips for the backpack straps (not the ones that close the backpack, but shoulder straps)

This is a high quality, well finished product and looks like it will last a long time.

Olive drab doesn’t look like the picture. It’s brown.

I have a similar pack to this one, so I was excited to find this one so cheap. But it's pretty small. It came in good condition.
