THIS COMFORTER IS AMAZING. I’m a cool sleeper (both temperature-wise and awesome-wise), and my husband is a hot sleeper (temperature-wise and looks-wise). I sleep best when I curl up in heavy, cozy bedding (I’m going to ask my therapist about this, actually) and my husband sweats when he wears just a sheet in January. We have literally spent at least a thousand dollars on different comforters, quilts, and blankets, trying to find one that works for both of us. FOUND IT!Question though- how many spiders or silkworms had to die making this comforter? And does this thing come with a guarantee that there are no (I mean NO) spiders inside this comforter? Asking for a friend, it’s important.

This comforter is a MUST for anyone with allergies. We replaced our down comforter with this one because of restless nights with stuffy noses and dry throats. Our first night with this comforter was a dream. Never woke up once for water (was 3 to 4 times a night with down) and slept deeply and soundly. The comforter hugs you and provides a feeling of comfort other blankets just can't do. It's also relatively thin, which worried me, but its heavy (dense material). However, the all season provided excellent warmth in a 65 degree room without ever overheating. Usually I am removing my comforter once or twice a night due to overheating. I suggest a King size for a queen bed and a cali king for a king bed because the draping will allow a really tight hug to your body. If you dont like hugging (which is when the weight from the comforter hanging off the bed pulls the comforter tightly over your bed then get the correct size for your bed. As someone who takes his bedding seriously, I highly recommend this investment. The only thing I wish I had done was as splurge on the silk shell.

After years of a your typical down or down-alternative duvet inserts, I pulled the trigger on buying a silk-filled one. My husband is a hot sleeper while I tend to be cold, so all night long it was a tussle for blankets as he would alternate between getting too hot and piling them on me and then trying to steal them back as he cooled off. This has completely stopped the struggle!I don't know what sorcery is involved, but it really does regulate body temperature. It's not very thick or fluffy like a down comforter, but don't let the lightweight size fool you. We are both comfortably warm/cool all night. It's absolutely perfect. I will never use anything besides a silk duvet from now on! I do use it with a duvet cover (not silk) and it still works and protects the duvet.

I bought this to replace one I had purchased in China for my wife and then (sigh) washed, thereby reducing it to a lump of fiber in a bag. I cannot offer a professional assessment of the quality of the silk, but it seems to be performing just fine. Please note that this is the all season version, which is considerably more substantial than the warm weather version. It came very well packaged in a compressed form, which was appreciated. Finally, I can confess that this comforter actually cost a little less than what I paid for the one in China, but that is a common peril of being a tourist who doesn't speak the local language. If you want a silk comforter, go ahead and get this, super light and warm.

This comforter is the best we’ve ever had. We tried all types before (cotton, dupont fibre, down) and so far this is the best ever. We’ve been using it for over a year and it’s just perfect each time. It is heavier than down comforters but this makes it even better as you get a hugging feeling. No more night sweats, no more need for layering, just pyjamas and the comforter on cold nights. It proved to be perfect for my allergies as well. The only time it felt too heavy was during the hot sticky months of summer but that’s normal as this is the thicker and heavier model. I’m buying a second one so we can switch for longer lasting use. It’s well worth the price.

This is probably the best made comforter I have had the pleasure of sleeping under! So well made, nice and substantial - so soft I wish I didnt have to put a cover on it! I'm used to cheap "bed in a bag" comforters, but after experiencing this type of quality, I see what spending a little money can get you! I'm in love!

I wasn't sure if I should order a comforter online without seeing it first, but I took a chance based on the good reviews. I love my new comforter. I've been using it for >1 week now during late fall / beginning of winter time. It is quite thick and heavy which is good for me because I am always cold. I like the fact that it hugs the body in a way that regular comforters do not. It is a large size, and two people can comfortably sleep in it. My partner is always hot and he didn't complain about it being uncomfortable. I don't like the fact that is not machine washable, but I am using a cover and I will deal with cleaning it when time comes.

Worth every penny! I'm so glad that I chose to spend a little extra and go for this slightly unconventional material. The silk duvet insert keeps me warm and stays breathable. The cotton cover is exceptionally soft and as someone who knows good sheets, it was almost a pity to place it inside a duvet cover, but it's the right thing to do to keep it in good condition. One of my best purchases on Amazon. I would have hesitated to order this if not for having ordered a couple smaller silk items from LilySilk before and been just as impressed (pillowcase, scrunchie/hair tie, and eye masks).Easily justified this purchase with how many hours out of the day are spent in bed. Only wish that LilySilk made a cotton duvet cover in the same material as the cover for this duvet -- so soft and smooth.In case anyone is curious, I'll confirm that that there were no weird smells like with some other duvet materials and this was a perfect purchase that I hope holds up as well I think it will.
