Microplane Garlic Mincer - Red

This is one of those gadgets that sounds great but does not perform up to expectations. The garlic clove(s) tend to "lay down" in the chamber and this makes it difficult to mince or slice. Great concept but the implementation just misses the mark.

Watched a tv demo of this item and it looked like a great alternative to a garlic press. Not so much...It is actually just as hard or harder to manipulate and no easier to clean.. Wouldn't buy it again.

I’ve owned one of these for about 5 years and I love it. I have arthritis in my hands, so using a garlic press can be difficult. This kitchen tool makes grating or slicing garlic a breeze.. I actually bought 3 of these to give to friends for Christmas. Highly recommend.

I've tried several different garlic hand mincers, crushers, etc. Even with arthritis in my hands, I can make this handy tool work easily.

This is THE garlic chopper. I've tried them all. East to use, easy to clean. No vigorous shaking or rolling required. You can mince your garlic and keep your dignity!

The planer is excellent. I bought it for garlic but hadn't considered I needed to peel the garlic first to put into hopper. At that point I might as well just chop the garlic by hand.The inside of cap looks like it might be hard to clean. But I rinse it right away with no problems.Likely I will use this for ginger. Maybe bits of chocolate. Small quantity of parmesan? But for garlic ...I wish I had bought a garlic press.Good product overall. Doesn't appear to be crappy cheap.

I wish there was something on the sides to make the top hold so it can be kept together when stored and not in use.Except that, this is one of best garlic shopper out there !
