PVC Termination Cap Mesh Screen Vent Cover, Furnace & Roof Vent Cap, Stainless Steel Wire Round Exhaust Pipe Cover End 2" Inner & 2-3/8" Outer Diameter

This wire mesh cap was used for my HVAC intake pipe, which previously allowed birds to get inside. I did need to sand the cap down to fit into my 2" pipe, but this was stated right in the listing. I appreciate that it has a good friction fit and the wire mesh seem quite solid, so this gets 5 out of 5 from me.

With our furnace that is vented on the side of the house, the pipes were open possibly inviting critters etc into the system.I measured and bought these. Installing them was simple. And there is a mesh barrier keeping things out. Makes me feel better.

Last year a bird made her nest in my heating pipe. During the summer, I cover the pipe with this item.It looks good, is easy to install and is very functional. No more nests!

The installer of my tankless water heater lined the inside of the intake and exhaust pipes with what looked to me to be scrap pieces of chicken wire. The screening served its purpose, but after a years, it literally disintegrated and feel out. I purchased 2 of these caps in the 3-inch diameter, which is a tight, but good fit for the vent pipes. Once fully seated, it'll be nearly impossible to remove these caps, so be certain to install them with the drain hole notch towards the ground. I'm very satisfied with these caps. They appear to be of good quality. The stainless steel screen does not block the airflow and is sturdy, so it should hold up for many years.

It fits into a schedule 40 pvc coupling. We doped it up and shoved it in. I recommend for outside vent terminations. Good value!

I purchased to cover my radon pipe as bats twice had found there way in and got killed by the fan. Luckily neither broke the fan as they are pricey. Plus, it was sad finding out that bats were getting stuck and dying. The piece fits well in the joint piece. This was easy solution and provided peace of mind.

These PVC coarse screens are perfect for the 3” PVC pipes which circulate air to your high efficiency furnace combustion process. I did not purchase them soon enough and a mouse accessed my furnace through one of these pipes. He got caught in the inducer motor and caused it to burn out. Fortunately the furnace was under warranty. I simply taped one to the end of one PVC pipe and the other pipe had a 90 degree elbow so it slipped right in with a good friction fit. I highly recommend these.

Be aware the cap fits over the 4" PVC pipe. The screen is sturdier that others I have used. Works well.
