Works as we hoped!
Purchased these two cables to connect two ham radios to an antenna switch without having to manually swap out the antenna coax to one radio and the other. Works great and is excellent quality. It was a little pricey for just a 6 foot cable.

Great Quality Cable For VHF
For starters, I've been an Assistant Chief Engineer at (2) major market radio stations, a HAM radio operator for over 20 years and a CB'er for over 45 years, so you can say I know a little about coax. I've had this coax outside for about 3 years now and have had no issues or corrosion in the connectors. Despite what the "scientist" said in another review, RG8x coax typically has a stranded copper center conductor and braided copper shielding, not silver wire and silver foil shielding. The "Marine Rating" of this coax is all to do with the UV protection of the outer casing and the corrosion resistance of the Silver/Teflon UHF connector. Some types of Military Grade coax for instance, do have silver wire and silver foil shielding with a frequency rating up into the GHz range. That grade of coax would be much more expensive and be an overkill for a 15 foot length of coax connected to a boat antenna. Bottom line: For CB and VHF Marine Band use, this is excellent coax. I'm using mine for a VHF/UHF radio antenna and works fine for that purpose as well, due to the short length I needed. Note that RG8x coax has about a 12 DB loss per 100 feet at 460 MHz, so if you are thinking about using RG8x for GMRS antennas, keep the coax length very short.

high quality materials and construction plus convenient odd 15' length
VHF Marine Radio Antenna 15ft RG8x Cable RF w/2x PL-259: High quality materials & construction. I use it for 2m & 70cm in my portable ham radio V/UHF contesting setups. The light color stands out from among all the black cables, making it easy to identify when needed. The 15' length is just right in particular situations where a standard 25' would leave a lot of extra in the way. And in my mind, the 'missing' 10' makes a tiny positive difference in signal loss, especially on 70cm. Highly recommended.

Works good, no problems, Coax for VHF use
Works fine, radio and auto-tuner seem to like it. It is a white jacket so it stands out next to the black coax.

Well made cable
This is a very well made cable. I had to cut one of the ends off to fish the cable to where I needed it and then did a splice connection with a Shakespeare Antenna. The factory cable on the antenna was very inferior to this cable. The quality difference was profound! I highly recommend this product.
