I ordered these stockings in anticipation of cooler weather and the material was certainly softer and thicker.Even though I ordered the same size as my prescription they were difficult to put on despite using an applicator.The first one was extremely uncomfortable to wear and proved impossible to remove except by cutting down the full length of the stocking. My advice is to order one size bigger than usual, you can return them if they are too big but you have lost your money if they are too small and you have to shred them.

I didn't like the thought of wearing them but I was having trouble with one foot and leg swelling badly from the moment I got out of bed. My doctor recommended them and I wore them the first time for a 5-hour drive in the car as historically my feel always swell in this situation. My feet and ankles were thin when I arrived at my destination and have remained so for a long time since as it seems to have solved the problem temporarily. I will always wear them if I am to be static for a long period and it will be interesting to see how I get on in the summer as my feet and legs and badly affected by the heat.

Ordered these knee high socks late one evening and they were delivered the next day!! I have bought various flight socks in the past but always found them uncomfortable. I had to measure my legs before ordering, something I've not done when buying them before. Before measuring I was tempted to buy small because I am only 5' and take size 3 shoe and I am size 12. Thank goodness I went with their recommendation ordering Large! I read the instructions on how to put them on - easy. They are a nice fabric and felt comfortable, bearing in mind compression socks are what they are. I bought them for flying and will be wearing them in a couple of days. I was that impressed I have already recommended them to a friend.If you do buy these do measure your legs beforehand, be guided by their recommendation.

I think this is a really good product. I bought them after being given hospital compression stockings. These are a much better alternative ie better quality and less clinical.I followed the sizing advice and measured my leg, to work out what size to be ordered and I have found this to be accurate. It fits really well. comfortable to get on and to wear. I think its good value because it seems to be good quality.

I actually bought these to wear with shorts in the garden to protect my legs against the sun because I have problems with Basel Cell Carcinomas developing as a result of exposure to the sun. For this purpose they feel comfortable without being over tight and seem thick enough to give some UV protection. Of course they will make my legs warm in the summer but at least I don't have to wear long trousers. I will also wear them when flying as advised by my GP following vein surgery.
