Don't try this at home? I use the Smartree 13-Inch to hold my webcam further in front of my screen (see picture), so it in effect it is zoomed in to show my head larger and reveal less wide of a background, even when I sit back on my chair. The clamp holds tight and requires a strong squeeze when you attach or remove. The top edge border/bezel of MY 17" laptop screen is sturdy and wide enough to handle Smartree's tight grip. On the camera end of Smartree's 13" stalk is a ball joint that swivels about 30 degrees from center in any direction, and then is held or loosed by tightening an adjustment ring. The stalk is flexible and holds firm.I wiped the length of the flexible stalk with a scrub pad and dish water to remove the strong chemical smell that put me off when I first unpacked the Smartree. Now it's fine

With the screw for the base of the webcam and the stiff neck, it holds my webcam well. Especially for the price, I am happy with this.

This webcam mount seems to be well made and I think it will be durable. Just got it so time will tell. I don't have any major complaints, but do have a suggestion. I would like a quick release addition as I have for the tripod for my digital camera. The clamp grip is strong but works better on wide surfaces, especially if only gripping on the edge of it.I do have a problem which I haven't quite figured out satisfactorily.. I am using it to mount my webcam on my easel so I can video paint with my artist friend who has move out of town. I probably should have gotten another item with a longer goose neck but this one seemed to be sturdy looking so I chose it. Twisting it around so it points to my easel is tricky. I can't mount it to the top because then my image is upside down. I tried flipping the image but it didn't work.Any suggestions? Any one.So, I think this is a good product that I am trying to use in an unconventional manner.

This worked exactly like I wanted. I didn't put a camera on it, I actually screwed a ring light on it instead. I have a computer monitor arm, and I clipped it to the arm. It's perfect. Easilly adjustable and definitely versatile.

Needed my camera just above my monitors and there was no sweet spot where the monitors meet to mount the camera directly on top of them, so I clamped this onto the monitor pole mount and it was perfect. Clamp is very strong, the goose neck is flexible and does not flex or wobble once set, and as you can see I bent and twisted the heck out of it to set it where I want. This is solid and works as intended.

I am using this mount on my desk for my zoom meetings camera. If I were using this for anything more substantial like a GoPro I would probably return it. The ball screw that is used to tighten the ball head down so it doesn’t more around cannot be tightened as the screw skips the threads and becomes loose again so you have to be very careful tightening it as to not go to far. Otherwise build quality is decent but if I were using this for anything other than what I am I’d likely look elsewhere.

I have monitor stands that place my monitors higher up, meaning putting a camera on top of the monitor would not work. What I really need was for my camera to be directly under my main monitor. Checked out a few products and opted for this one. I was able to clip it to my main monitor stand and position the camera directly under the monitor. It can be a bit difficult to get it positioned exactly right, but this is a necessary thing in my opinion in order to have the stability required for the poseable arm.Very happy with the purchase, would definitely recommend.

The arm is very sturdy. Once it's set, it will not move, unless you apply significant pressure to move it. It's exactly what I needed. Much more versatile than a desk tripod. Excellent for saving desk space.

I have used several other webcam arms but this is the best I have found so far. Good build quality and sturdy design.

The clip is super strong and tight. The actual arm is 9". Fits my camera. It's really built well. Strong and stiff arm but is tight to bend and ends up really short. The way I have my desk and 2 monitors, there is no way THIS product will work out for me. If I had my older smaller monitors it would. I do recommend this item but consider where and how it will fit. I need another kind for my setup. I will be keeping this one. DO NOT clip it to a monitor of any kind as the clip is really that tight and it will crush the monitor. So overall, 4/5.
