Escape from Blackrock Island: Adventure Quest - Book 2 Paperback – 16 Jun. 2021

Bought for my 8 year old who loves the book, my 5 year old is also loving it. Both girls have thoroughly enjoyed the book, has made bedtimes a little longer now they are staying alive a bit longer 😂. We'll written, engaging and lovely to have a book that can be picked up time and time again. Love the concept but this is the best one we've read so far. Will be watching out for new releases!

I bought this the 2nd book in the adventure series because a really enjoyed reading the first book. Matthew has a incredible talent as a writer. his stories have captured the imagination of my daughter and myself. I love reading them to her. Can’t wait for more.

Read as a family with my daughter aged 5 and 8. We all enjoyed it so much. Very different to our usual books about animals!This book takes you on an adventure where you are the lead character. You get faced with different choices along the way, which change the adventure. Do you want to take the short cut? Help out someone? Take in some pirates? (Much more exciting choices but don't want to give it away!). I love the fact that when read together it encourages discussions, why should we do this or that? And if we think differently how can we all argee. My 8 year old is very keen to read it again so she can make all the choices and see how she gets on, as it will be a different story each time. We loved it. Highly recommend!

We were lucky enough to be gifted and advance copy of this and my 6 year old has loved it- she’s worked through a couple of variations of it so far and has been asking to go back to start it again. Really enjoyable, with enough tension to make it interesting but not so difficult that she gets disheartened. She’s never read this sort of book before but is asking for others.

Me and my 6 year old son absolutely loved this!! It’s great that you get to choose which way you want the story to go! It gave us endless fun.This book is different to anything we’ve read before, it’s clever, entertaining and exciting and would absolutely recommend!!

My 9 year old son loved this, hes not a fan of reading but he liked that he could choose what happened.

I know this was geared toward a younger audience, but I really enjoyed it. Reminded me of the "chose your adventure books" I used to read as a kid. I am not going to admit how many times my "adventure ended" without success. More than once.Well written, perfectly paced. If you have kids, they will enjoy.
