PHILIPSBikiniGenie BRT383/15 - Handy bikini trimmer for t, shaving and styling the bikini zone with comb attachments and shaving heads - for effortless hair removal

I bought this for trimming my bikini area primarily because it came with an attachment that was supposed to give a completely smooth shave. First I trimmed hair to the desired length, no problem - it trimmed lovely and really easily. Unlike my previous trimmer, the guide combs actually fit properly and the blade didn't catch my skin. However, the alleged smooth shave head (which I wanted to use to remove all hair from the line where my underwear elastic sits in the creases of my thighs otherwise I get sore) - completely and utterly useless. It failed to remove the already-trimmed hair in that area, just glided over the top without taking it off. So much for a smooth shave. Waste of money, I'll stick with my Gillet Mach 3 razor for the area I wanted smooth.

Könnte man 0 Sterne vergeben würde ich das tun. Ich bin entsetzt, dass Philips so ein Klumpert herstellt. Nachdem mein alter Bikinitrimmer von Tschibo, der viele Jahre gute Dienste geleistet hat und ungefähr ein Drittel von diesem hier gekostet hat in die Jahre gekommen ist musste eine Alternative her. Die Auswahl ist nicht sehr groß und ich dachte mir Philips kann man keinen Fehler machen da ich mit anderen Geräten dieser Marke bereits gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe. Ganz falsch gedacht. Dieses Ding ist gemeingefährlich. Egal wie vorsichtig man „arbeitet“, irgendeine Art der Verletzung gibt es immer. Früher mit dem alten Noname-Gerät gab es weder Verletzungen noch sonstige Probleme. Es liegt also weniger an mir denn an diesem Schrottgerät!

This is the worst bikini trimmer I have tried. The ‘shaving head’ literally would not cut any hair on my body, it flat out did not work. I tried on every area I have hair and it did not cut a single hair off (I was doing it in the right direction, against the direction of hair growth). The trimmer was more successful but not by much, the click on combs were hard and really quite sharp… which wasn't particularly comfortable in certain areas… and generally even this head did not cut very well or evenly, I had to keeping going over areas again and again. I will be going back to the Remington cordless that I have had previously even though it doesn't live for long at least it successfully cuts hair.

Overall I'm not impressed. It's working worse than my 10 year old Remington. I have a few tiny cuts from it (!) The 'complete shave' attachment is literally useless, it doesn't do anything apart from pulling hair, even the short ones. It went straight into the box and will be used only as an emergency while my old one is getting charged. Also note that it's not rechargeable (I've missed that bit on the description). I am annoyed about all those wonderful reviews (it's not an item you can return even after one use for obvious reasons) and I can imagine they are from people that haven't had any other to compare with this one.

It would not shave properly, not a good review from me, will not buy again. I’ll be buying a men’s one next time as this was cr*p
