Sturdy and lots of fun
Christmas gift for a 6 year old. Lots of fun fort building, I rate 4 stars because of level of parent involvement. My kids are extremely tough on toys and so far only 2 panels have ripped -- quite honestly I'm impressed because their ability to destroy things is expansive. I did buy an extra roll of velcro as noted in a couple of other reviews and I would highly recommend doing that. All in all a fun product that inspires creativity and problem solving.

Fun but requires help for younger kids
I chose this set over others because it seemed to be a better deal for essentially 2 sets. We quickly realized we would need more Velcro if we were to ever use all the squares. We built a good sized structure with about a set and a half and almost all the Velcro. My 7yo loves it, but I definitely did most of the building. I had pictures just sending him into the backyard with friends, but he wouldn’t have been able to put together a sturdy structure on his own. Also it was somewhat windy outside so this didn’t work out there at all. Basically it was fun, but required adult assistance at age 7. It’s roughly like a cardboard box so not super sturdy.

Fun but not the best money spent
Really fun for my grandson but it is very easy to get cardboard cuts. It isn't very sturdy and tips over easily. They don't give you enough velcro so I had to purchase more. Overall I would buy it again but I wish they would make it a bit sturdier.

Good idea, poor execution.
Was not easy to assemble. Directions not easily understood. Design is very nice, but its very flimsy. It fell apart when my grandsons started to play with it. Its in pieces in my playroom.

So much fun for creative minds
I hesitated to pay this much for "glorified cardboard boxes", but after watching my 7 year olds design, create, and build with such excitement, I'm glad I did. They have a blast making castles and fortresses, and the materials are holding up really well so far. (NOTE: I did purchase 2 sets to give them plenty of pieces to build with...)

Tape is not enough
The tape is not long enough to tape all 16 boards . We still have 4 boards left but the tape is only enough for 2 holes.

Hours of Fun
My 6 year old grandson loves this play castle. We use it for epic nerf battles, forts and imaginary play.
