Very detailed
Very nicely made and detailed. Bought this for display purposes so can't say on actual use. Body and trucks seem well made.

Nice budget boxcar.
Nice boxcar for Walthers trainline. I really can't complain about anything. The coupler height is within specifications out of the box. There are high end cars that fail all of the time. It has metal wheels and is very free rolling. The wheels on the CN version are smoked compared to the polished CSX version. I prefer polished although the smoked version is more protoypical. It doesn't have body wobble running down the track but I noticed the truck could use an adjustment. This car and the csx are exactly the same mold and I think the detail is enough to not make it look like a toy. I didn't measure the weight but it feels within specifications. Great looking car and the Canadian is spelled different on the other side. The box provides good protection for the model. The box was slightly torn on the corners. I'm a bit bummed about that. My Walthers csx box came damage free.

Walthers CN box car #286099 has the CN name incorrect on one side
I purchased the Walthers Canadian National box car #286099 and the CN name is misspelled "Canadien National" on one side. Even the photos displayed by Amazon has the mistake, which I didn't notice when I purchased the car. I wonder if the actual box car has this mistake?

Fragile
Perfect for collectibles if your kids are gentle with toys. But these are fragile. Easily break. My boys are both 9 and play with these. But they do break very easily if mishandled. Only thing to keep in mind But the product is perfect! Great detail! Fun to collect. Def recommend getting these just age and maturity to keep in mind when purchasing these HO scale Train sets

The model looked OK, was reasonable value and received on time. However, the item received was faulty so I returned it. The internal weight was loose and moved about inside the model, I could no way to easily open the car and glue the weight in place so I returned it. Return worked OK, acknowledgement was swift, just a bit inconvenient. Strange that they asked for a review, given the item was returned.
