SABRE RED Pepper Spray Keychain with Quick Release for Easy Access – Max Police Strength OC Spray, Finger Grip for Accurate Aim, 10-Foot (3M) Range

I’m a female runner and I hope that I never have to actually use this but having it does make me feel safer and better protected when I go out for long runs on my own. It arrived with an expiration date well above 4 years which is great. It’s easy to carry and hold and also easy to use (as demonstrated in my video review). I’m extremely happy with it and would confidently recommend it to others!

Although I think this product is good enough for a basic pepper spray, there are some drawbacks I'd like to point out:- There's only a 3-finger grip to it. It would've been better if they made it a 4-finger grip. If I had to place my pinky on there, it feels uncomfortable, so I have to end up putting my pinky finger through the keychain loop. I guess this would be useful if someone tried to grab it from you, and your pinky's locked into it, but you have to take a little more effort in putting your pinky through the hole. Not to mention that keychain hole does move around...- It does get messy. When I first sprayed it, I realized that yes, leftover pepper spray residue will get stuck on top of the hole. As this is a twist-lock design, there will be some more leftover residue when in the locked position. There was also a tiny bit of pepper spray going on the top because when you twist it, a tiny bit of spray is spread on top.- The twist-lock design. I just bought this because this was Amazon's #1 pepper spray, but after doing more research, the flip-top design would be a lot better. The twist-lock gets loose, takes a smidge longer to deploy, and is more prone to accidental spray. I don't know why Sabre doesn't make all their products flip-tops. Eh...Despite all those drawbacks, all-in-all, I'd say that this would be a good pepper spray to go with. Yes, it is still pepper spray. Yes, it still works. I actually got a speckle on my eye and it already burnt really bad HAHA! So this could take someone out. But for me, I think I'll go look somewhere else for a better pepper spray. Perhaps maybe one of the Sabre Red products!

I love having pepper spray. My best friend and I were looking for some cheap, good quality pepper spray. When I found this pepper spray I sent her a picture and then bought 2 of them. I tested mine out, which was a mistake. I took my pepper spray outside and tested it out, well it made me sneeze uncontrollably and it got all over the top of the container. Well today I went to school and I was just touching it without thinking and then I rubbed my eye and got a teeny tiny bit of pepper spray in my eye and down the side of my face. Even that little tiny bit that was on my fingers made my face feel like it was bleeding and my face mask didn’t help because the warmth from my breath made the pain worse. I ran to the bathroom and washed my face. After about 30 minutes, the pain and burning sensation finally calmed down. I decided to text my mom and tell her what happened, along with the fact that I woke up with a cold and that my dad scared me so bad, with our new motion activated doorbell, that I screamed and sprinted to my car and that when I got to my car I started crying and shaking so bad that I couldn’t unlock my car. She said that I could go home. So that’s we’re I am now, at home watching les mis. But I hope that I never have to actually use the pepper spray and it does give me a peace of mind having it, even though I did get the crap scared out of me by a doorbell this morning and then got the pepper spray in my eye.

This spray is the best out of the best I sprayed it on my leg at first to try it and I accidentally sprayed it on my eye and let me tell you it’s soo strong I spend 30 minutes rinsing my eyes and whole face and it kept spreading I have so much snot spit, eyes irration burning face and I peed myself from coughing this out this is strong for being less then $10 dollars

Fortunately I did not have to use this to protect myself although that was my intention when I originally bought it. But today, I had to use it to help my neighbor. Her two pits were fighting and the owners could not separate the two. There was blood everywhere. I ran to get my pepper spray thinking surely this will help. We sprayed it direct in the dogs face and eyes and, first I must say, it squirted out more than a spray, and secondly, it did absolutely nothing to the dog. Didn’t loosen up the bite one bit.So, had this been a dog attack on a person, this spray would not help save you. I’m glad that I was able to learn it this way, than to experience the lack of effectiveness of this product myself.Invest your money in maybe bear spray instead if you do not have an open carry permit.
