Can the handlebar be locked so it does not twist?

The handlebar's are secured by 2 bolts so they don't twist. They do move just slightly but it not a problem during the workout. Very stable and secure.

We purchased one from you on 12/28/12 & the sodered areas in two places have broken. Is there any warranty on this since it's less than a year old?

The first one that I purchased, the frame also broke in two places. but it was after two years of hard workouts. We looked around and could not find a better deal on one that we liked, so we bought a second one and it has worked fine so far. On 1/1/14,the second one broke. We have had it 10 months. Obviously , they are a piece of junk.

A lot of use bought one and it squeaks LOUD when in use. Even spraying WD40 Silicone based spray on EVERY joint has not worked to silence it. I posted a video with my review. But maybe you'll be a lucky one that gets a quiet one.

Is there a way to tighten the resistance so that each step will be more of a “weighted” work out?

Absolutely. Once I had mine set up( which was really easy) I tried it before I adjusted it just to see how it was and it was pretty strong with good resistant. You can turn a knob that will tighten it and make it even much more challenging. It is small and compact. I live in a studio apartment and it fits perfectly. I absolutely love it. I'm on it most nights while I'm watching TV instead of sitting down. Good luck. 😀
