Semi-easy to install, product does not last
I bought these for an Amana washer with the dreaded banging. After the install, everything worked well, no more banging. I bought these at the end of July and now, at the beginning of Sept, the machine is banging hard again. These rods do not last long at all. I'm not sure if I gotta bad batch or this products quality is not good in general. If the seller can reach out to me, I would love to speak with them.

1 WEEK UPDATE: (o.p- Day 2 of full loads so far so good)
*see bottom for 2 week update:(I HAVE MY WASHER BACK! Went with this brand because of the 1 year warranty. It was one of only a few that was the correct size (25.5”) for my Kenmore series 100. Great quality.Tested the difference in resistance once I’d replace 2 on one side. Just like one reviewer mentioned you could feel a significant bounce in the old rods.Quick fix, the washer lid is the most time consuming. Recommend using work gloves with a grip for safety and ease of holding up the rod to insert. Also nice to have a helper to remove and insert new rods for you. But totally doable on your own. I’m a woman who stupidly became the designated repairman in the fam. (OK…I secretly do like fixing stuff)Super easy fix! The actual removal and install of rods takes 5 minutes the rest is pulling the washer out etc. highly recommend trying if your washer jumps around even with a minimal, “balanced” load.UPDATE: 1 WEEKEvery single day this week I thanked God for a working washer but as many posts say, you get what you pay for. So I'm submitting return today and looking for the oemUPDATE: 2ND WEEKSo, I had to put my old rods back on and now I'm able to wash about a 2/3 load whereas prior to replacing i could only wash about 1/4 load, no more that about 3-4 full size towels. Now I think this has something to do with me pushing those little round pieces back down to the springs, could find the name but it's supposedly the piece that shock absorbs the imbalance... so before you replace, i guess try to give a little adjustment.

Problem Resolved-Great product
My first time ever fixing my washer and these struts are great! They are of great quality and my machine is so quite when rinsing you dont know its on! Installatiin was a beast, as you will need 2 people to assist, maybe because I dont have the stregnth of a man it too me 2 hrs. Lol Nevertheless, I recommend this product, as it saved me from buying a new machine!

Total garbage
These worked for about two months and then the washer started banging again. These are also difficult to install. Very frustrating that the return window is closed. Went directly to sears and ordered part for twice the money hopefully that works.

Easier to install w/ help, but doable solo.
Easier to install w/ help, but doable solo. Great price. As far as the durability goes, the parts appeared well made/manufactured. Like the old ones I am sure that these will eventually need to be replaced in time. Would definitely recommend and buy again (if needed).Edit: So after approximately 28 days these rods went out and no longer work. I purchased these on 22 August, 2022 and installed them on 25 August 2022. The date of this edit is 18 September, 2022 because I've got the banging again and the drum is bouncing like a baby on a trampoline. Not sure what to say or do at this point. I was hoping that these would have lasted atleast 1-3 years, however they didn't even last a month.
