Worked flawlessly in my ceiling fan
I purchased the 3.5uf+5uf+6uf 5-Wire to replace my 4.5uf+3.5uf+6uf 4 wire ceiling fan capacitor. I suspected my capacitor went bad as the high speed no longer worked, and the lower speeds were even slower then before. I contacted the seller since I couldn't find an identical unit and they pointed me to this one. It worked! I have my 3 speeds back again! High is super fast, medium is a little slower then before, and low is a little slower then before, but at this point I'll take it!For those in the same boat, here's the rule I found. From your existing connections you can go either up 1uf or down .5uf. so for me the following crosswalk worked:4.5uf on OLD wired to 5uf on NEW3.5uf on OLD wired to 3.5uf on NEW6uf on OLD wired to 6uf on NEWWith the extra wire, I just capped it by itself (isolated it).I did this for two fans and no issues on either one. I had a Hampton Bay 42" ceiling fan from Home Depot.
