This is our entry level whip but rest assured, it will not fall apart like so many others sold at this price point. Read the reviews of many other whips and see for yourself.We hand made this bullwhip from Top Quality Tanned Calf Skin, Top Grain Leather, Long tapered strips called plaits are carefully cut to specs from each hide. Every set of bullwhip plaits are unique to that particular length and number of braids. Hand crafted by a skilled whip making family for over 35 years, it takes 4 plaits to make my low priced entry level whip. 8-10-12 plait designs comprise my Signature series Whips. The more plaits the higher the quality, performance and strength. Much more time and skill are required in braiding of the whips with more plaits. EACH OF MY BULL WHIPS COME WITH CARE INSTRUCTIONS, REMEMBER THIS IS NEW LEATHER AND MAY NEED MORE BRAKING IN AND YOU DO THAT BY USING IT.

The Real Bullwhip of the West
The bullwhip is very good... But there may be some info that one should know: Though the whip is 8ft.; it's really 10ft. (Including the leather strap and crack at the of the whip). Might I suggest a 6ft bullwhip for beginners (which I'll be getting later on). Hands down: it's a good whip and I fulfilled my childhood wish!Very crucial info: unless you plan on getting a snakewhip, Do NOT whip the ground too much (especially on rough floor and desert ground)! Doing that will wear down the leather faster and (unless one knows to re braiding a whip) the end will unravel.

All right if all you want is to give it a crack now and then
I was able to learn the basic cracks with this whip but encountered difficulty with the volley and multiple cracks sequences. Decent whip for the price, had to replace fall and crackers quickly. Inspired me to try my hand at making whips and was able to make a 12 Plait double belly shot loaded whip in a day following some youtube tutorials for around the same price than cracked MUCH better. If your looking for something to learn on its a good entry-level whip but if you are looking for anything beyond basic cracks invest in a better whip, higher quality whips crack much easier, louder, better and with much less force.
