I use this product to carry clothing, water, sun screen and keys/ID to boat, beach and pool. This is my 2nd bag of this type. The first was purchased at a box store about 5 years ago; it didn't come with warning about waterproof to 30 minutes in standing water. This one does so now I know. On a dive trip, the original bag sat in a puddle for more than that time and clothing inside was damp. No big deal, it still works for me but I keep it off the floor on boats now. Rain bursts, splashes, short term falls in water no problem. Just keep in mind the limitations on time. Other that that one time, both bags have kept everything dry for me. I bought this one when I poked a small almost pin prick hole through my original bag's main compartment. Took this bag on a dive trip to use as a dry bag... according to the tag its not waterproof.... i like the bag... but maybe don't call it waterproof if its not. I kept it under cover and hooked up high on the boat... but this isnt always possible. For reference its water resistant, but you have to be careful... wore it as a backback in rain and the items in the bag got wet.

I live in a city with frequent rain. I use this to carry small things to places where there's little room for a full backpack.When it works:* For dance class and social dance, I carry a hat and dance shoes, and ear plugs in the small key pocket (my two-step venue can be too loud).* For music class, I carry sheet music and a flat-folding foot rest (for classical guitar).* For carrying just a book and a water bottle on the train.When it doesn't:I tried using it on a plane to carry too many things - it only opens at the mouth, so you have to go digging if it's too full. A nalgene takes up more space than you think - would really with with snacks for hiking or boating, but a nalgene *and* a medium-sizrd book *and* headphones *and* a journal was pretty inconvenient.

I am so glad i bought this for my week long Disney World trip. I took it with me on water rides and everything stayed dry. The last day of the trip we were at EPCOT and it started pouring. Lightning thunder, the whole deal. They even shut down all the rides. This bag really pulled through. Everyone was piling their belongings into my bag to keep them from getting wet on the long walk back to the car. Everything inside was completely dry. Love this bag.

I now own three of these bags. It is waterproof as far as I need it to be (it does not claim to be waterproof if it is submerged). We used these bags to keep our shoes and towels dry on a river tubing trip and everything stayed dry. I like to use it to carry my DSLR if there is a chance of rain (in fact, I keep one folded up in my camera bag just in case, since the bag weighs almost nothing and it is good insurance). The one downside is that the straps/strings are not that comfortable to wear, but they are sturdy and thick so they are not the worst either.

This is NOT a waterproof bag. Bag by lounge chair on damp ground. Water sipped through and red dye from bag stained clothes. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

I used this backpack extensively on my recent airline flights and cruise. It held up very well and I like the fact that it is waterproof. All my stuff stayed secure too, since you fold down the top three times; then, click the plastic clip together. Also, there is a clasp you can use to secure the bag strings together in the front. We have a motorcycle, so I plan to use it this summer when riding and on vacation.

The upper part that closes the bag is too high and too stiff on my neck. I’m 5’3” this may work better for someone taller, but it bothered the back of my head/neck while wearing it. Seems like a good bag otherwise.

Después de un tiempo de uso puedo deducir que este producto resiste las lluvias ligeras E intensas siempre y cuando ajusten bien como indica , en tormentas si se puede llegar a entrar un poco el agua , se ve resistente la tela pero si puede llegar a romperse si meten algo con punta ! En conclusión buen producto para la lluvia ligera y constante , en tormentas no mucho!

Tanto la bolsa como los cordones son de buena calidad, dentro de la bolsa tiene un compartimento con cierre para guardar una cartera o un celular, no trae sujetador para la cadera o pecho, si trae sujetador en la parte superior de la bolsa, es decir, no sólo cierra con los cordones como las mochilas de este tipo, la verdad es que no la he mojado todavía, pero se ve que si aguanta, en la etiqueta dice que es aprueba de agua, polvo, arena y nieve pero no es sumergible

I needed this this past month. It's been the rainiest June and July here for a long time. This is especially great because it has the twist top but you don't even need to use it really. Its a handy feature. I love this bag!
