These work well
I kept these up all winter and they still work. I need about 10 more for around the garden and to give as gifts to people I know who also have deer issues. They are loud if you are outside, but if your in the house, they are hard to hear, so I think they would be OK if you live in a place with neighbors close by.Just tonight one went off and I heard it because the door was open. I got up right away and couldn't see anything with the flashlight but eyes glowing out in the woods, many yards from the alarm.Get enough so you can place them 20 feet apart all around the entire garden. They would probably scare the crap out of a burgler.

issue with deer on my fields
I ordered a set of these to place in a few hot spot areas to keep the deer out and recently hogs that are tearing stuff up. I've tried to hunt the hogs but they seem to come up in the middle of the night and have run the deer out multiple times. So far I have one out and I set it on the night mode. Plan on setting the other 3 out soon. From what I can tell these should help a bunch and I do plan on buying another set of 4. When they arrive, charge them for a day before putting out. These solar so there after they'll work on they're own. My only bother is I wish they'd make these in a "green" color instead of Red.Winter 2023 update - I got all 4 out again and I will say these work great when set around high traffic areas (Deer and Hogs). What is interesting is the Deer have learned where they are and have sneaked in other little areas to eat.

Fantastic - buying more
I’ve had these almost two years and somehow they still work, even being out the entire time in the Phoenix sun. Came back to buy more. I got the first set as a javelina alarm to warn me when they’re in my garden. I thought it would scare them off but it didn’t so guess I had to do that part but that was fine. Buying more as coyotes are attacking my chickens. Hope it scares them away but regardless it will warn me so I can do something. The best thing about these is how LOUD they are. They’re equally as loud and the same sound as a car alarm. If that’s too loud for you then this isn’t the right item.

Works for raccoons and cats
So far so good. I've used these to fend of coons in my garden. Set them up and a trail camera. First night a coon came 3 times according to trail cam and never dug. Prior it had been digging up my new plants. I don't think they run away scared from the siren but I think atleast it's annoying enough where they don't hang around. Regardless, for 2 nights straight no digging from coons. Very satisfied so far.

More Chinese junk looking for a home in a US dump.
This was a temp purchase in an effort to protect a vacant home while I establish electric service. This product was a waste of my time. A week lost.1.) I fully charged it via USB before operation.2.) The mode button is terrible. You have to listen for the "click" to know you've pushed it. The button wobbles off center when you push it and misses the internal micro switch. Button is on the back and you have to remove it from the keyhole mounting screws to set or change modes. Ever tried to hang a picture with a dual 1/4" hole keyhole hanger in less than 30 seconds??3.) No 'mode' indicator leaves you pushing the button over and over trying to find what mode you are in.4.) Range distance and detection angle are less than advertised.5.) The lights are weak attempt of making this think look like security.6.) Instructions have more foolish info than what you really need.

Nice when they work
I bought the 3 pack of these. They all work great except for one. It worked 2 days/night them just stopped. It gets full sun every day and I even tried charging it with the cord. It just won't work.I noticed someone else had the same problem in one of the reviews.

These rodent repellent alarms work great in detecting movement.
These motion detector units work great in activating the flashing red lights and the alarm sound. The alarm sounds for 45 seconds which is a long time but you do want it to be effective in keeping rodents, animals and people away. There are five mode settings and when it is on the first mode to deactivate the unit you just press the black button on the back side four times to turn it off. If the unit is still active then you may need to repeat pressing the black button four times again and you do this quickly. You do this quickly to not disturb other campers at a campground. When at a campsite that is close to the road where vehicles may be coming by frequently it does sound on, so I recommend to wait until later in the night to set out around your vehicle and or camper trailer. Where I was staying recently I waited until like 10:00 or later to set the units out. Once again the alarm sounds for 45 seconds so it may seem like it is not going to stop but it will stop sounding. I highly recommend this product.

Needs better instructions, volume adjusrment
THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. They should post a how-to video on changing settings.I was ready to send all three back because I couldn't turn them on. Then my wife came along and started each one. Big fingers on my hand couldn't get it.They seem to work well. However, they could use two major changes to make these an ideal purchase. 1) A timer adjustment so you can cut the alarm time down to 10-30 seconds. 2) A Volume control so you can adjust the sound level to what you need.I bought these to scare away cats that keep passing through my space, but they are so loud that no one can tolerate it for more than a few seconds, and I will undoubtedly have neighbors annoyed and/or calling the police. 45 seconds is far too long, and whoever decided on that should have tested them and seen that. I'm sure they work great for out in a field somewhere to keep away deer and bears, but 10 seconds would have them running. But by having it preset to 45 seconds of that blaring noise, the only ones being bothered by it after the first few seconds, are any humans who are anywhere near it.I took one apart and pulled the speaker out of the pocket it's glued into and have it sitting loose inside the case. That did it so that the noise should still work for my needs to scare critters away, while not being annoying to humans with good hearing and short tempers. It was a tedious job because the speakers (a round disc right in front) are glued in there fairly well. I'll leave the other two units alone and use them for intruder alerts if SHTF.
