Phentex Worsted Yarn, 14 Ounce, Tangerine, Single Ball

Love the color, I’ve been looking for this color forever

I am a perennial beginner. I cannot give a professional opinion.First, when I ordered this I could not tell how big it is. It is big. When the band is off it turns into a soccer ball size ball of yarn. It is soft and somewhat thinner than the inexpensive, not so soft yarn I am used to.But it is the same number of ounces, so there is probably more of it. For me, It does not split and is, as I said, soft and nice to work with.The color is perfect. It is not stark white or dull off-white. It is a pleasing nice color lighter than cream. I have used it so far to pair with novelty yarns as a base for them.If the ball of yarn has a center pull feature, I cannot find it. So it is best to keep it in a nice clean big bag so it can spin around as it unwinds. It is not tangled.I have not washed anything made of it yet, so I can't tell you how it turns out after washing.

I wanted the Phentex yarn from the 1960s and 1970s called Olefin to make socks. I bought this high quality worsted by mistake.

Soft and easy to work with. However color Natural is pretty much cream. It is not bright white which I needed for my afghan.

Now this is more like it. The item was larger than expected which is good. I can crochet a larger portion of a blanketwith it. The thread is sturdy it won't unravel easily if you make a mistake, and the packaging was more than sufficient.I can see my self ordering from this company again.

This proved to be great yarn for crocheting afghans - it worked up nicely. The Emerald color is hard to find - Bernat doesn't make it anymore - but it is such a nice color. I was very pleased with my purchase!

This was a great buy! Just 2 skeins to create a complete afghan and the price was right!
