Sound Phonics Phase Five Book 2: KS1, Ages 5-7

Back in the 1980s Masters of the Universe was one of the biggest toy lines and bridged the gap between fantasy and sci-fi and even draw upon horror. He-Man was the first MOTU (masters of the Universe) figure I even had and this is the closest depiction since the original release. Today I relived a part of my childhood when He-Man was delivered by the postman. I hadn’t wanted to collect this line as the Masters of the Universe was (and is still) the best MOTU line in my opinion but I relented and glad I did. However, it lacked one thing: the bright colours. This toy is near perfect but lacks the articulation of Classics. The ab crunch, swivel at the biceps and However, it makes up for being an direct sequel to the original and even has even brighter colours. As for packaging, this is a real treat for fans. The artwork is beautiful and if your a mint-on-card collector you won’t be disappointed. You can see this is really made for fans of the old toyline.

I am very happy with the model and accessories but the packaging came damaged so if I had been a collector of pristine on-card models I would be disappointed. The comic also contained no words at all which was just bizarre and seems lazy. The original comics from the 80s came with a proper story, not just images of action scenes with no dialogue or narrative. But as I was mainly interested in the model itself I was pretty pleased overall.

Bought this as a gift for my husband as he had the originals when he was younger, very well made.

I've been collecting these origins figures since they started coming out last year, under the guise of being presents for my 4 year old lad... Thing is, he is now obsessed with his figures and castle grayskull playset, now demanding that we play "goodies and baddies" together every night. Poor poor me...! I've chosen to review this variation of he-man in particular, because it's widely available (here on Amazon but also in budget toy shops all over the UK) and also the closest to the original vintage figure - it's basically the best looking one you can get (with the original head sculpt and a full-bodied power sword) and a great starting place for yours or any kids collection. What makes these origins figures so great, is that they're somehow as good as you remember them, by being the same *but a bit extra*. The colours are brighter, yet still sticking to the original colour schemes, making them feel nostalgic yet fun and accessible to kids. They have more articulation, yet maintain the same shape and look as the originals. Some of the faces of characters have been improved, to look less goofy/disfigured as the originals, yet only subtly so. Most importantly they're well-built and durable, with the added feature of being able to take them apart and mix and match arms, heads and torsos with other figures in the line (hello cyborg he-man). Some niggly points - as you can take them apart at the waist they don't have that twist/punch function the vintage toys had. Also, there is perhaps too much articulation going on in the leg area, making them a bit of a fiddle to stand up/position, especially for 4 year old fingers. But overall, I still can't recommend these figures enough, what better way to celebrate 40 years of MOTU in 2022 than re-starting your collection or even better, introducing younger generations to the magic of he-man

Bought this for my son for Christmas, he's played with it off and none not a whole lot and seems the joint on one of the legs was seized up as seen on the photo and when he's tried to bend the knee joint to play with it it's snapped off. It's good value for money and is sculpted and painted very well just seems like I was given a defective item. All in all I'd recommend it but be careful when bending the joints.

Ogólnie jest fajny, fakt ma dziwną minę i małe oczka, przez co wygląda jakby co dopiero się obudził. Na duży plus, to że ma tyle ruchowych stawów, dzięki czemu można go ustawiać w różnych pozycjach, sam zakres ruchu nie jest jakiś wielki ale jednak dają jakieś możliwość.

This is the first time in my life that I've bought a He-Man toy: as a kid I had a punch of them and they were all gifts so it felt a little weird. But I opened up my old toy bin for my kids and I found my old He-Man with his legs broken off: the rubber band broke. And for some reason I felt dismayed despite not looking at this toy for probably 20 years. I felt like I should have a good He-Man as it was a favorite of my 4 year old self. Anway getting to the toy. Opening this up made me so happy. It has all the proportions of the old toy and it even has articulation: all over. And the legs don't have a breakable rubber band so hopefully this one will last more than 40 years. It came with a sword, the shield and ax and while different than the original accessories they fulfill the job nicely. And this new sword is probably nicer then the old one. Also, my 3 year old daughter likes to play with him and have him ride Battle Cat. He-man is durable enough for my kid and brings me all the nostalgic feelings. If you liked He-man back in the day and watch to introduce him to your kids or you just want to have or gift and overpowered looking warrior this is a great toy. I highly recommend Masters of the Universe Origins He-Man.

Excellent Product. Looks like the original classic toy but better quality. Limb joints are very good unlike the rubber joints in original one which could easily get broken. And it comes with a comic book also. 👍🏼 Given 1 Star less only because Amazon Packaging was bad. They don't understand the sentiment fans have for this product. The toy case is equally important as the toy itself. The case was folded as Amazon put it in a small packaging. This is totally unacceptable esp. when the product is costing Rs. 6300/- plus.

A revitalization of one of the most successful toy lines from the 80's! Well sculpted and articulated to update it for modern times, while still retaining its original look. Worth the buy!
