Fender Tone Saver, 500K

Just oddly expensive. Does successfully maintain top end and tone when volume is lowered.

Perhaps my 3 star rating isn’t fair (I’m admitting) as the treble bleed does function quite well. I went with a phone book .01 capacitor for my 60’s Road Worn MIM Stratocaster. That’s another review, however my gripe is the cost. I don’t see any additional benefits with this, that I couldn’t have found with a more cost effective treble bleed, but it does deliver the goods if your looking for the Fender label. I’ll admit I don’t record or perform so my opinion doesn’t hold much, but thought I’d share my experience with this item.

I selected the Fender tone saver over the cheaper generic one because my deluxe strat came with one from the factory. This was installed on an American strat. Installation was easy and the instructions were very clear. The product works as expected. Took more time to remove and replace the pickguard then it took for the five minute solder job.

Works perfectly. Will be getting another one for my other Strat.

Works great, significantly helps preserve tone when using the volume knob. I put this in a Strat pickguard with 250k pots and Lace Sensor Gold pick ups. I can notice a big difference in highs vs. before.

You can hear the difference. Still effects tone as you turn down the volume, but to a lesser extent

I'm not a fan of treble bleed circuits and this one sounds good to me. The effect is more subtle than others I've tried. Adds clarity, but stays warm and natural.
