Chinu CG-J18 Manual Coffee Grinder Conical Burr Mill, Stainless Steel, 40 Gram Capacity

It's a little more strenuous than I thought, but I'm enjoying the morning ritual of grinding beans for my daily cup of coffee. There's something very satisfying, like a tea ceremony but, you know, coffee.

This is the second one we have owned from Chinu. The first one broke after about three months of use. A small plastic part within the grinding "parts" cracked in half. I assumed it was a rather rough relative who lost their patience so just I ordered another. This time I became the only user and now after 8 months of use the same thing happened. Worked wonderfully while it lasted but now I will look for better quality and maybe you should too

I previously wrote a review but it is no longer seems to be here, it appears..This grinder is solidly built and sturdy and I'm really quite happy with it so far. I've not yet had the chance to use it for too long as I already had a nice coffee supply from beans I bought and used the store grinder, so now I have beans and am experimenting with it. The blades are ceramic, so the directions do warn users to be careful with how they care for the product to make sure that nothing is placed in the grinder that can break the ceramic. Ceramic blades are awesome on knives, but if not cared for they, too, will chip if the edge hits something hard. Ceramic blades (on knives) are otherwise super sharp and cut produce clean and easy. Tomatoes slice through with barely any juice squirting out.The blades in the grinder should last long, then, if care is taken. You can use this to chop things other than coffee too. Herbs or spices like cloves, pepper beans, for example.

It died today. It lasted a year of everyday use.

For the price it does the job well. However it can be a little hard to hold for older people with arthritis.

Works as expected. Gives you a little morning workout to get your first cup of coffee☺

I don't use it for coffee... I use it for grinding my Excedrin Migraine pills since I have swallowing issues. It works absolutely fantastic for a manual pill grinder and it only takes 2 or 3 easy turns to grind the pill. Recommended for those with hand/arthritis issues and can't take pills.. ground them to a perfect powder. Best pill grinder ever!!
