Flimsy but does the job.
I am a Cochlear implant user. In one of our current earthquakes one the rechargeable cartridges by Cochlear (~$380) dropped on the floor with the charger and snapped the connection port. Dead. I decided to give ACCU Plus a chance with its 675 rechargeable batteries. The charger does what it says, which is to discharge-recharge 2 x 675 Ni-FeH in actually less than 5 hours. However, it feels flimsy. The top lid is very thin, and it establishes the contact of the batteries to a common +. The discharge-charge cycle works too well: if there is any power brown-out during the charging period, it reboots itself, starts discharges whatever charge had been accumulated and then re-charges. So there may be surprises there. The charger comes with most of the EU different connection plugs including USB.Avoid touching the lid while it is charging, that could really upset it and create unwanted results. The charger is actually two in one. It handles both batteries in a completely independent way. Very fast blinking means sthing is wrong with the polarity, medium speed blinking is while discharging takes place, slow blinking is for the charging cycle. Full green light shows charging is over.I do not review here my evaluation of the use of Ni-FeH 675 batteries as a replacement for the original Cochlear rechargeable cartridge. See my review for Power One 675 rechargeable battery. But as a summary, it is NO. Won't substitute. Only provides 4.5hrs of operation.
