Gift-Wrap Cutter Cuts Wrapping Paper Quick and Easy

This cuts the paper very efficiently. Not as square as I like though. But my gifts did not show any flaws because the cut was off a little.If the company wants to improve this or sell a higher grade model then I suggest first making the track out of something more stable than plastic or if you use plastic then make it thick and non-flexible. That is where the off square cutting came into play. There is a bit of flexibility in the track and that can cause the cut to come out a teensy bit off. Not so much that your average gift wrapper might notice but for us perfectionists it is a drawback. This means coming up with different way to install the blade but I would take more time on that if it meant more accurate cuts.Next suggestion is to make this to hold bigger rolls of paper. I am talking in width and length. Some of my rolls are over 4 inches wide and the top did not close properly. That contributed to the cuts being a little off. Next up a lot of my gift wrap rolls are three feet long. They will not fit in this cutter. So a longer model would be nice. A longer model that can hold a wider roll of paper.All in all this sped up my gift wrapping and it finished with very nice edges that allowed for well wrapped gifts.

I have been wanting something like this for quite a while. I thought the price was reasonable, so I thought I'd give it a try. When I took it out of the box, I noticed it was a little more flimsy than I anticipated. I set it on my craft table and inserted a roll of paper. The paper rolls can be a maximum of 30 inches. I have quite a few rolls that are 36 inches and cannot use the cutter for those rolls. The cutting tool, is very easy to slide. I've only had it catch a couple of times. There is a groove it travels along. It doesn't line up at first, but once you start moving the handle it eventually slides in the groove. I have used cheap, thin paper and heavy paper and it cuts great. I notice the base moves around a lot. It would be nice to see rubberized feet or even make it a little heavier so it doesn't slide all around. I am glad I made this purchase as it makes wrapping presents very easy.

After receiving some great help from another amazon shopper, I had a relative idea of how this product would look. What I was not expecting was the simple design. All you do is open the top, slip the paper in, draw it through the front, the same part you lift up to put the roll in to begin with, and boom. All set up. I was told the blade came separately, so I was prepared for that. Being blind and without visual assistance, it took me a little while to figure out how to uncap the blade and get it into the slot made for it, but once I figured it out, I was thrilled at the ease of it! The blade just snaps right in, and each cut is perfect! I have always despaired of wrapping presents since, unable to see what I'm doing, I cannot cut in a straight line if my life depended on my doing so. This has been a lifesaver. My toddler's birthday and Christmas are both in December, and this item is making wrapping her presents a joy rather than a chore. And while the blade is sharp enough to slice through wrapping paper with ease, the setup of the cutter is still very safe, so that if your toddler bumps it or accidentally touches it, they won't immediately lose a finger. I'd still recommend keeping it out of reach of curious little hands, but an accidental bump won't kill them.***Update: This cutter is still working like a dream. I just used it to wrap some presents yesterday and I adore it.

Don’t purchase! Frustrating cheap and ultimately doesn’t work.

Seems flimsy and cheaply built, but functions well if used carefully. It functions very well in my application.

This makes wrapping gifts so quick & easy. Totally worth getting, even if you don't wrap a lot of gifts. Great investment.

This did a great job cutting wrapping paper at Christmas, saving me a great deal of time and frustration. Highly recommend.

This was great for cutting, since I can't cut in a straight line. Just wish it was longer for those 40" rolls of paper.
