I got this as a present for a teenager. She seemed to really enjoy it. She has been reading it and has already made progress in her drawing. So I'm gonna say it was a success for her. I didn't myself read or use it.

This book have very neat tips as well as inspirational sayings inside. Definitely would buy this for another person that’s wanting to learn to draw anime characters. It’s a great start!

It's great at showing you how to draw some features... there are something you should know. About 1/2 of the book are blank papers for you to practice on. That to me is a waste because the book is already so thin. The last 8 pages are just blanks... There are some repeated information which I wish it could've show me earlier. Like the face and eye proportion. The body proportion is... not realistic but it fits certain category of manga. Like, your arm is so long that when you stand it almost reaches your knee lol. It doesn't show you the good size proportion which is about 7 heads of your picture. Chibi figure should be 1:1 head and body ratio and it only shows you how to draw the head!No clear illustration of how to draw male/female face. I found out online this is done by lengthen your chin and thickness. The eye played a big part as well. It only shows faces with male feature but it doesn't explain.There are no illustrations how to draw clothing. I would really like to see how to draw folds on clothing and some styles, but none. Those blank pages could be replaced with these.Still, I liked the illustration of how to draw eyes and other facial features as well as the hair style. The cover looks so good... it's a shame. It's good for reference but it lacks (maybe misleading) info for beginners.I debated if I should return the book. But I did get some useful reference so I'll be keeping mine. Just know this might not be what you looking for if you are a total beginner.

It has a lot of content from eyes to hands and hair. Her favorite bit is that every other page is a practice sheet. And it's a great price!! No questionable content, very PG. It has one couple embracing and a man carrying a woman over his shoulder in the pages for practicing body poses. I highly recommend 👌

Worth rhe price.

This is better than expected, it is so much cuter than the picture. It has pages where you can practice. Perfect for new artists and kids.
