Camisasca Platesafe License Plate Frame Kit

The platesafe kit was given to me as a gift, and I installed on my vehicle about 1.5 years ago. I recently moved states and had to get new plates for my car, and when I went to remove the secure caps, they were completely impossible to remove. I re-read the instructions 10 times, searched online for ANY information or tutorials, and finally gave up and called customer service. They immediately acknowledged they have received this complaint from many other customers, and told me to apply some WD-40. I had already bought needle nose pliers for the removal, but I went back to the store and picked up the WD-40. This had no effect. When I called back they told me their included tool often does not produce enough leverage to remove the caps, so they can send me a hex bit that I can try. I also don't have a magnetic screwdriver or powerdrill, so I guess it's another trip to the store to spend MORE money just to get off a product whose value has never been proven worthwhile in the first place. I hope the bit they send works, otherwise it will be even MORE time and MORE money to take this to a garage to solve this problem. Meanwhile I have no way to remove my old plates and add my new ones, putting me at risk of a fine/ticket for not displaying the proper vehicle tags. All in all, dealing with the Camisasca Platesafe kit has been one of the worst consumer experiences of my life.Update: Was unable to get the caps off with the bit they sent, so I ended up scheduling an appointment with my garage for removal. The bit actually BROKE while they were trying to remove the caps, so ultimately they had to cut them off, destroying the plate frames in the process. But hey, at least this product is finally off my car.
