Works Great - A Bit Expensive
I love these tabs they are grand; lightweight and heat up my 16 ounces of water in 6 minutes with one tab no wind; with wind about 8 minutes. Starting them in the wind can be a little bit of a challenge if you don't have any tender. I used just a sliver of a cotton ball with Vaseline and it fired right up. My Esbit lasted a good 13 minutes with no wind and I kept some aluminum foil at the ready to serve as a wind block. The downside is the smell; they do smell like fish but they don't make your water or cooked goods taste or smell fishy. I tested these against Trioxine, Wet-fire, German fuel tabs and home-made cotton balls hardened in candle wax. The Esbit fuel was the longest lasting, hottest burn and the cleanest of all of the fuels tested. I still recommend you put a piece of tin foil on the bottom of your pot to keep it from getting a slight dark sooty color. Stove cleanup was easy; just folded up my piece of tin foil and off I went and since I boiled water - nothing else to clean.I got mine for my emergency backpack and for short trips; the stove and fuel are so lightweight it sure beats hulling around a canister of fuel. These fuel tabs are a bit pricy but compared to the others I've tested you get your money's worth for certain but these can be found for less on other websites so you may wish to shop around if you want to save a few dollars. I hope my review helps as I Am Very Happy With My Purchase!Great Product I Am Very Happy With My Purchase!

Received "Bleuet" cubes in lieu of Esbit product
At the time I placed my order for these fuel cubes, the Amazon page illustrated a box of 12 Esbit branded white fuel cubes. I received a box of one dozen "Bleuet" branded fuel cubes, orange in color and manufactured in China.----------------------I test all of my camping supplies as a method of determining if a particular item is suited for active service. My test of the Bleuet fuel cube revealed the following:ProsA hot flame with a broad spreadPhysically identical to Esbit cubes (e.g., cubes are scored to allow for rationed use of smaller pieces)Burn time was always no less than 10 minutesBleuet cube pack has slight price advantage as compared to EsbitConsA bit more odor than the Esbit cubesBleuet cube doesn't ignite as easily as Esbit cubeBroad spread of flame may prohibit economical use of smaller cookwearCube remnant remains at exhaustion; doesn't burn down to nothing like Esbit cubes usually doThe volume of soot produced by the Bleuet cube is no better or worse than the Esbit cube. I use a bit of heavy tinfoil as a barrier between the flame and my cookwear.

Delightful to use.
I use these and they work as well as any 14 gram tab that I've ever used. They do have an odor so I keep them in a bag to contain the slight smell. Keep in mind that with all these 14 gram tabs, any brand, you may need to use more than one to cook your meal. One after another, not a bunch at once. I recommend these.

They won't get your water to a rolling boil but ...
They won't get your water to a rolling boil but they get a pint up to boiling enough to reconstitute dried food. Takes about the entire life of one to do so.

Very Little Heat, Very Little Flame
Yes, they're stinky. I knew that when I bought them.Everyone commented on the smell. Fortunately, as reported by others, the smell did not enter any food. The reports about being able to heat anything more than a Dixie cup of water do not match my experience, however. My family used all twelve tablets during a week long camping trip. They were nearly worthless. The flame that is produced by a single tablet is about what you might expect from a couple of candles. I had hoped for much more. The tablets didn't (come close to being able to) produce enough heat to warm up any small meal, in my experience.I really expected them to do more for firestarting, too (instead of fatwood or a squirt of lighter fluid) but when I broke up two tablets in an average camp fire, the result was hardly noticeable.Perhaps we expected too much of the smelly little Chiclets?

Got the water hot!
Boy...what a smell, but it worked well to heat the water. I used a small coffee pot of water (about 5 cups). It would take at least 2 cubes to get it hot enough. I decided to use less water and just several refills to provide the hot water for my group.

Four Stars
Fuel burners work well but Amazon is garbage.

Work great, smell fishy...
Smell like fish oil. I put them in ziplock bags while camping and backpacking. If you can deal with the smell, they are awesomely light, burn for about 15 minutes, and require zero clean up. Perfectly capable of boiling atleast 2 cups of water. More with a heat/wind shield and a pot lid.
